Quote
The supermajority of the governing Fidesz-KDNP coalition in the Hungarian Parliament has passed an omnibus bill on Tuesday that ends the legal recognition of transgender people in the country.

Article 33 of the new legislation introduces the term "Sex at birth" defined as "the biological sex determined by primary sex characteristics and chromosomes" into the Civil Registry Act, replacing "gender" in the civil registry. The law passed by Parliament expressly forbids changing this entry, making it impossible to legally change one's gender in Hungary.

So sorry to read this, Lynne!

Trans folks have made so many gains over the last several decades, but now it seems that the clock is actually running BACKWARDS in a number of countries.  My own United States included . . .

Thank you April!

Today our president signed the law, so it's official. But the fight continues, we'll see how far they can get with this.
It's really saddening to see what happens to LGBT rights around the world nowadays.

Lynne any change ? In my country in newspaper a parliement says the biggest enemy of LGBT is our president . He fights good with them. Every year is getting harder for LGBT week. The governor forbids the meetings and country is getting more conservative day by day. The democrats try to get votes from radicals and they crossing from their lines .
