Share an iconic recipe!

Here is Disney’s Hollywood Studios 50s Prime Time Cafe’s recipe for its

Peanut Butter and Jelly Milkshake:

Two scoops of vanilla ice cream
1/4 cup of milk
Two tablespoons of peanut butter
Plus either two tablespoons of grape or strawberry jelly.

You can substitute two CUPS of sliced strawberries for the two tablespoons of strawberry jelly.

Blend, then serve.

Enjoy the taste!    :)

Be tender to others.  You are as beautiful as the thoughts you think and the words that your speak.   Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding.  Knowledge and action shown without love is not impressive.  If you look for the good in people you will find it. Healthy relationships are so important to good living.

Good living, joy, unity, love, and happiness can come from following these practices: Never let selfishness or conceit motivate you.  Regard others as more important than yourself.  Do not limit attention to only your interests, but include the interests of others

It is not usually about how fast you transition, it is about how well you transition.

IKEA’s Swedish Meatballs recipe:

Serves 4

Meatball Ingredients:

1.1 pound of beef mince
0.6 pound of pork mince
1 onion finely chopped
1 clove of garlic (crushed or minced)
3.5 ounces of breadcrumbs
1 egg
5 tablespoons of whole milk
Salt and pepper to taste
Cream Sauce Ingredients:

Dash of oil
8 teaspoons of butter
8 teaspoons of plain flour
5 ounces of vegetable stock
5 ounces of beef stock
5 ounces of thick double cream
2 teaspoons of soy sauce
1 teaspoon
Instructions:

1.Combine beef and pork mince (ground beef and pork) and mix with your fingers to break up any lumps. Add finely chopped onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg and mix. Add milk and season well with salt and pepper.

2. Shape mixture into small, round balls. Place on a clean plate, cover and store in the fridge for two hours (this will help them hold their shape whilst cooking).

3.In a frying pan, heat oil on medium heat. When hot, gently add meatballs and brown on all sides.

4.When browned, add to an ovenproof dish and cover. Place in a hot oven and cook for a further 30 minutes.

5. Melt 40g butter in a pan. Whisk in 40g of plain flour and stir for 2 mins. Add 150ml of veg stock and 150 ml of beef stock and continue to stir. Add 150 ml double cream, 2 tsp of soy sauce and 1 tsp of Dijon mustard. Bring it to a simmer and allow the sauce to thicken.

6. When ready to eat, serve with your favorite potatoes — either creamy mash or mini new boiled potatoes.

Enjoy your meal!

DoubleTree’s Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe:

Makes 26 cookies

Ingredients:

1/2 pound butter, softened (2 sticks)
3/4 cup + 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
Pinch cinnamon
2 2/3 cups Nestle Tollhouse semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 3/4 cups chopped walnuts.

Instructions:

1. Cream butter, sugar and brown sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer on medium speed for about two minutes.

2. Add eggs, vanilla and lemon juice, blending with mixer on low speed for 30 seconds, then medium speed for about twominutes, or until light and fluffy, scraping down bowl.

3. With mixer on low speed, add flour, oats, baking soda, salt and cinnamon, blending for about 45 seconds. Don't overmix.

4. Remove bowl from mixer and stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.

5. Portion dough with a scoop (about three tablespoons) onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper about two inches apart.

6. Preheat oven to 300°F. Bake for 20 to 23 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and center is still soft.

7. Remove from oven and cool on baking sheet for about 1 hour.

Cook's note: You can freeze the unbaked cookies, and there's no need to thaw. Preheat oven to 300°F and place frozen cookies on parchment paper-lined baking sheet about two inches apart. Bake until edges are golden brown and the center is still soft.

Jacques Pepin’s French Omelette

No recipe! The important stuff is the technique, which can only be appreciated by video. Tons of videos of Jacques doing this, but my favorite one is from the New York Times...I hope you all have access to this. Watch a master work:

https://www.nytimes.com/video/dining/100000001116746/jacques-pepin-makes-an-omelet-.html

Looks easy, but it ain’t! I have attempted this on multiple occasions but have only gotten it completely right a couple of times.

I keep all of mine on a google drive.  Welcome to peruse it.  If it doesn't let you in, message and I'll see if I can figure out how to share it.    It's extensive.  I cook a ton.
