Here to Learn!
« on: June 30, 2020, 10:54:00 pm »
Hello All,

My name is Steve. I am a cis man who has joined the community as an ally and researcher with the goal of learning how to be better at both and engage in research that is of interest and concern to the trans community. My research is in the area of physical education and adapted physical education. I am interested in the experiences of trans students in US physical education as well as the intersection of transgender and disability identities in physical education, physical activity, and sport contexts. While I probably will not post often, I am here to read and be supportive of the community any way I can. I am open to discussing my research interests or any other topics of interest. Please reach out to me any time!

Hi Steve,

Welcome to Susan's. I am older, but just recently realized that I was not alone in the thoughts I experience. I found out I am transgender. My experiences in school go back more than 40 years ago when I had no clue what was going on inside my head. There was no Internet to help or anyone I could talk to. You will find some friendly people here that should be able to answer some of your questions.

Thanks for being an ally!
