So I have been working on getting back into shape and losing a few pounds.  I've been at it for about 5 weeks and I'm about 1/2 way through my 30 pound weight loss goal.  Nothing about this is easy and when you are almost 60 the weight is harder to get off and it requires you to work harder to achieve your goals.  I'm hopeful that I will be able to reach my goal weight by the middle to the end of September.

Sooo, went out tonight and absolutely loved my hair. First time I’ve fixed it and it didn’t look like I soaked it down with mousse. Had to snap a before bed pic.

Hello, thought I'd drop by and say hi. Life's been a little hectic for me last couple weeks. I'm at home in Wyoming.

I'm comfortably living full time as me in a small conservative republican town with the entire city supporting me.
I got signed up with UCLA's gender health program for my surgeries. Had my initial intake phone interview about 3
weeks ago, everything went well. Now I'm in the process of getting FFS covered by my insurance. I'm sure that
process will takes months but I have to put in the work to reap the reward. My surgeon is helping advocate for my
care, I have her entire team on my side! I'm very fortunate.

I put my trucking business back together because freight rates are at an all time high and
this is a good time to be in the freight hauling business.
I've lost as much weight as I need to to be healthy according to my primary care Doctor. I'm now losing more to get
to the desired shape I want. It's an on-going battle, but I'm winning!

I finally have enough natural hair so I went to the salon and I'm trying out this new hair style. I love it. No more hair
extensions and sticky glue to torture my scalp, what a relief.

Ironically I do not remember how long I've lived full time. I feel like I've always lived this way. I know the stress and
anxiety of being in an internal struggle is gone, has been since I started HRT. I couldn't possibly think about going
back to living as a male. I'm completely invested in this process and only want to live the rest of my life as me,
   happy and free.

I wish everyone here who has helped me over the past year and a half. I owe you a huge debt of gratitude. I'll be
forever in your debt. Much love and strength to all my friends and extended family. You mean the world to me.

   Best wishes,

   Sophia

Sophia,

It certainly sounds as if everything is working for you right now.  That is great!
I hope everything continues to go well.

Always be kinder than needed.  Be tender to others.  You are as beautiful as the thoughts you think and the words that your speak.   Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding.  Knowledge and action shown without love is not impressive.  If you look for the good in people you will find it. Healthy relationships are so important to good living.

Good living, joy, unity, love, and happiness can come from following these practices: Never let selfishness or conceit motivate you.  Regard others as more important than yourself.  Do not limit attention to only your interests, but include the interests of others

It is not usually about how fast you transition, it is about how well you transition.

Sophia,

Nice to hear that your new life already started without any major obstacle. Everybody is unique, and thus his/her life should be too. I have been just enjoying small things on fashion and beauty without HRT, which also could be unique.

Please keep posting any interesting or important episodes in your journey.

Thanks so much.

It's a real struggle sometimes, dealing with the societal pressure to be thin (just part of the woman experience :-\), but I'm slowly learning to love it.  :)

So glad to hear that your process is going smoothly. I'm looking to get my own back on track. Both Covid & my own related depression/apathy have sidetracked it or a while, time to get the train rolling again.  :)
