I was thinking of going through a makeover service where they give makeup lessons, dressing tips, and escorted lunch/dinner and/or shopping excursions.

Has anyone tried it? Was it fun? Was it worth it?

Hugs,

Holly

Hi Holly...I personally have been 'flying solo' since coming out, but I have heard that it can be helpful for some.

It took over 40 years to realise, and believe, that what I am NOT, is a mistake.

(Yes, I'm a Canadian who served in the US Navy....)

Holly-

I didn't know there was such a thing!  I want to do the transgender makeup class they have at Sephora, but it's been no-go with Covid restrictions, and like @TSL_NB I've been flying solo.

Is this supposed to be a 1-on-1 service, or is it more of a social event?

Hugs!

Caela

I did the transgender make up class at Sephora two years ago. It was well worth going. They were super nice and supportive. My mother and sister never hardly wear make up so I didn't really have anyone to teach me. If anything the class gave me a good start. Covid has put a damper on al lot of things. Things will eventually get back to normal.

Several located all over in major cities......

Was checking out theboudoironline.com in Los Angeles.

I definitely could use the help and confidence boost.

Maybe one day, someday !

OMG, I didn't know that was something that the company as a whole did.  I'll have to look into here at some of the local stores...

One of the local Sephora stores had a private class just for transgender people a while ago. Many girls attended and all said complimentary things about the classes afterwards.
