Can you pass wearing a mask?
« on: September 16, 2020, 09:33:20 pm »
Today, I attracted alot of attention wearing this outfit while shopping in Center City, Philly.  I'm 5'11'' without this 4'' heels so I worry about not pass with a mask on. Luckily, the store security at Best Buy and department stores didn't enforce mask wearing on me. I wonder if they already knew and were just ignoring me, lol. How about you girls?

Lily, I have to agree with Chaerlie, You look female through and through. I wouldn’t worry about it...with or without a mask you’ll scream female to anyone looking.

My Best,

I'm pretty sure it was your hips tapering to your little waist that were attracting the attention.  Your photos are amazing.  I don't have too many problems with the masks myself.  If I'm on my game, then there are usually no problems in my day.  Most of my Cis-female friends are 5'11 to 6'2. We get plenty of attention, but its generally our clothes that draw the attention.  I get approached with the "that dress is amazing" or "I LOVE that outfit".  No one ever mentions height.  Just think "Super Model", and rock those heels.
At what point did my life go Looney Tunes? How did it happen? Who's to blame?... Batman, that's who. Batman! It's always been Batman! Ruining my life, spoiling my fun! >:-)

Lily, you look superb. :)

I'm Canadian, but I knew Center City very, very well (I used to live in South Philly, almost 25 years ago).

I hope it's better there now, because I can tell you, when having to use SEPTA to get around in the late 90s, it was not always safe (I wasn't out then, but I had witnessed hostilities towards LGBTQIA2S+ folks a LOT from others....)
It took over 40 years to realise, and believe, that what I am NOT, is a mistake.

(Yes, I'm a Canadian who served in the US Navy....)
