Hey, everyone! I can't believe it's been so long since I've signed in. I'm currently going to school full time as well as working 30 hours a week, so free time is scarce these days.

My partner, A, is nonbinary, transitioning MTF and last week was approved for an increased dose of progesterone after blood work came back with less obvious results than we wanted. We're super excited about this--but unfortunately, their doctor sent their blood to a lab that was out-of-network, and we've just been struck with about $7000 in medical bills, which we really can't afford. We're working with the lab and doctor to get it reduced as much as we can, but it's so hard to get a response from people. It's been a week since A left a voicemail for their doctor, and we have yet to get a call back.
But we're trying to focus on the positives! I've noticed over the past few weeks that A is just happier in general. They're more talkative, more confident, and more affectionate. Their libido seems to be coming back slowly, and I'll admit I'm a little impatient (they couldn't keep up with me even with testosterone in their system lol), but more than anything it's just good to see A feel so much more comfortable in who they are.
Anyway, that's about it for us. Progress with the transition has been slow, but it's there, and we're looking forward to seeing more change in the next few years.
