Testosterone And Singing
« on: September 30, 2020, 02:32:07 pm »
Hey, I'm ftm and just over 1 year on testosterone. I'm not a professional singer and I've never had lessons. I'm looking into getting lessons though.. Just wondering if anyone knows things I can do to help me adjust to my voice? Obviously my voice has dropped and continues to change, I understand it's gonna be harder to control.. But singing just feels different now. And I'm not sure if I'm even singing correctly anymore? And what are things I can do to sing higher notes without my voice just becoming hoarse and breaking? Never thought I'd miss being able to hit high notes.
Thanks for reading.

Dear Jupiter,

With only one year of Testosterone in your body, you should sound like a  teenager who is just now developing a manly voice. A fully developed voice will take many years. Be patient. Hormones work ever so slowly.

Good luck and take care. :-*
