Did people go into hospital for their GRS all smooth, or did you let (or were you told to let) things grow out beforehand?

My genitals were smooth from electrolysis in the areas that would be internal after GCS. The areas that were to remain outside were shaved just to avoid the hair getting in the way.

Is the electrolysis always the case? or does it depend on the surgery>

Your surgeon will say at your first consult if you need any hair removal and from what area. Reckon on a minimum of 12-months to get an area cleared with regular electrolysis sessions. X

Fortunately Electrolysis not necessary for me as I selected MDV. I shave the area anyway as I always prefer to be smooth.

I did manage to read some of an article from Nuttfield (before feeling faint) that it depends if the scrotum is going to be used internally and that depends on how much other material is available and depth required

I have already had a a Bilateral orcheichtomy and i guess 2 years of shrinkage so won't know options and requirements until i see Dr Kanhai again
