. . now I work in the office of the same company

Things that make one go "humm" I love the manners of "Southern Polite Society"! Yesterday, between deliveries, I was chatting with the office girls who take the orders when, upon answering a question, the customer said "thankyou ma'am". Nobody so much as *blinks".

Tough, middle-aged German owner/boss lady is constantly giving me "back rubs & hugs", know she's checking for those bra bands, been throwing her off-trail of late by wearing supportive button-up coveralls under work tee instead?

I also love the top, very soft-feely material! In my town national "job policy" is very counter-productive with "help-wanted" signs everywhere. . are we trying to drive up wages at taxpayer expense by paying more to STAY HOME instead?

"But it's no use now," thought poor Alice, "to pretend be two people!
"Why, there's hardly enough of me left to make one respectable person!"

I retired from the US Army in 2015.  Now I am an elementary teacher.  I love my new career field, it was absolutely the right choice for me.

I'm an engineer, electronics mostly, but very much capable in other fields.

I've been looking to change, to get away from that sort of work, the pay, the conditions, the benefits (none at all), the lack of respect, but it proving near impossible.
