Topic: Color coding your bra with your top??

Ladies,

With all the colors to choose from for bras and panties. Do anything of you color code your bra with your top? Or do most women wear the regular white, beige or black? Obviously not a dark colored bra with a white top. Was looking at some bras today.. and wondered how other women decide on colors?? Do you get the matching panties too?  Thanks for the advice!!

Fit and functionality are more important to me. That said I don't favor white, so when I have a choice it's usually beige, gray or black.

Since nobody will see me in my underwear I don't worry about matching colors. When I see it on somebody else, if a strap shows I don't even notice if the color matches.

Showing through a light-colored top can be part of your fashion statement, so dark under light may be what you want.

For me the answer is sometimes! In fact colour coding can mean deliberate contrast which is also something I do. I certainly always  choose my underwear based on what outer clothes im going to wear. I like to wear matching nicks whenever I can too.
If I know Andy is coming over then suspender belt and stockings also chosen to compliment of course

I always go with the white/beige/black being the closest to the colour top I am wearing.. So. black t-shirt.. black bra... etc...

I did have to change my top the other day to a white one, whilst I had a black bra on underneath.. I was not going anywhere so it didn't matter.. but it didn't look right...(to me)..

I would definitely add that there are lots of bra colours other than the white/black/beige- I do have 4 or 5 white and same with black but I also have lots of other colours too - red and pink are my fave colours but orange is quite cute too and I have more blue bras than any other colour because blue is Andy’s fave colour

I have read that a red bra hides under a white t-shirt but I do not have a red bra to test that out.

I bet that it matters what kind of light you have in the room and what color of red (and perhaps pink) bra is worn.

In my limited experience, no bra, regardless of color, hides under a white t-shirt. 

There is the reason that they use white t-shirts for certain wet clothing contests.

I washed a red bra with a white top once... I would not advise it. hahaha

I have a black bra for wearing with black tops or dresses, a white bra (maybe 2, but different styles?  Can’t remember for sure.) and I have a couple of different styles of “nude” (beige).  My wife has one black one and the rest of hers are beige.  She hardly ever wears the black one.

I will do some color coding.

My thing is to not have the bra obviously showing through my top.  However I don't ‘match’ bra color to top color.

The "nude" color accomplishes that.  It doesn't show through because it is close enough to my skin color.

This is JUST my personal opinion on the matter of bras and bra straps.

The older generation and certainly those in our parents generation would not ever "think" of having a show-through bra or even a bra strap showing.
 
The younger generation shows everything...  show-through bras, tops and crop tops that are too short or too transparent, etc...   many multiple straps showing from bras and spaghetti straps on multiple layered tops... seemingly not concerned at all with multiple colors of all contrasting shades.

      At 40 years young, I fall somewhere in the middle of all of this....  conservative but not prudish.

I try to have matching bra and panties. If I'm wearing a top that might allow a view of the bra I try to wear nude/tan.

I guess I do not like the straps showing.  Nor do I wear a camisole as an outer garment, or even to have its hem exposed.

Now if I am stretching, or bending over, or adjusting then if any of these show, that does not count as being exposed.

But.. maybe one day I will change my style preferences!

Depends on whose attention I’m trying to grab and/or who is looking, lol !

Reminds me of something I was told once.... if everything matches on a woman then sleeping together was not your idea. My small empirical sample size does suggest this is true.
