Topic: Vaginal opening position - different with Supporn/ correctable?

Hey there, I'm wanting to get SRS when I fully transition, but one of the big things putting me off is the positioning of the vaginal opening.

With cis women the vaginal opening is between the labia minora:  (o)

But I've heard with SRS/ GCS, the vaginal opening is below the labia minora:   ( )

I've also heard speculation that it's possible to revise this, so the opening for a GCS one is between the labia minora?

Also, I have my heart set on Dr. Supporn, so was wondering if anybody knew where he/ Dr. Bank/ Dr. Prae put the opening?

My understanding of the different vaginal opening position in trans women is due to having a prostate blocking the path of the vaginal tube. The only way around it is to remove the prostate which can cause incontinence and other complications.

All surgical results are unique to the patient. Even from the same surgeon, there is variation in the cosmetic and functional results. If for any reason your are not totally satisfied, there are many surgeons who do revisions.

It’s not the vagina that’s the issue, it’s the labia not being done properly. There’s some individual variation, but this particular aspect is mainly due to the surgeon.

Bank is essentially identical to Suporn. I can’t tell the difference and I’ve seen a few. Prae is an unknown at this point, she’s not done many.

As far as I understand and know (someone please correct me if I'm wrong), the vaginal opening is *always* below the labia minora, because if the surgeon were to extend the labia minora below the vaginal opening, it would most likely tear apart with the dilation regime required for the first year.
However, Dr. Suporn/Dr. Bank do offer a free revision after a year of the surgery (don't know if other surgeons offer a *free* revision), and I've read of many women who choose to have the labia minora extended below the vaginal opening.

putaringonit, you’re thinking of the posterior commissure revision that Suporn does. Even when the labia do reach all the way, and that’s not always achieved, the opening there is not very natural. It’s a bit hard to explain, but the base of the vulva (ie posterior) is a bit flat/horizontal. He improves that.

The anterior revision is really good too. I’ve seen a number of them.

That's great, thank you both! I reckon the surgery then a revision is what's needed then for best results; I'll deffo be going with Supporn/ Bank ^^
