Separate the T from LGB

<< < (2/2)

:police:  Our policy on politics is longstanding:

--- Quote from: Susan on December 13, 2016, 05:29:14 pm ---Unless there is a direct connection to the transgender community it's not to be posted.

--- End quote ---

When it comes to religious discussion:

--- Quote from: Susan on October 05, 2014, 03:47:01 pm ---You are not to pass judgments on others beliefs or lack there of, any more than they are allowed to pass judgement on yours. You are free to talk about how your spirituality affects your life, but you cannot proselytize or attempt to convert others.

Post in this or any of the sub forums under The Spirituality Forum must be linked in some way with the transgender condition, but may not also not claim it is a Sin, mental illness, or Wrong in any way. If you want to express those beliefs then by all means take it to another forum.

--- End quote ---

We have had atheists who felt like the subforums for various denominations were an appropriate place to post, and people from various denominations who felt that their posts belong in the Atheism subforum. These posts are removed and/or edited.

The subject at hand; separating the T from the LGB, is covered by TOS #10:

10. Bashing or flaming of members of this website or the LGBTQIA community is not acceptable behavior on this website and will not be tolerated in the slightest for any reason. This includes but is not limited to:

Advocating the separation or exclusion of one or more group from under the Transgender umbrella term. The same restriction applies to advocating the removal of the T from LGBTQIA community.

Suggesting or claiming that one segment or sub-segment of our community is more or less legitimate, deserving, or real than any others.

Posting any topic or making any post that suggests that Trans people are not really men (FTM) or women (MTF), even if done for the purposes of criticism or discussion.

Posting any messages that engages in personal attacks on members, and/or is actively or passively aggressive no matter the provocation.

There is a fine line between discussing being removed from the community and advocating for removal. Let's make sure this conversation stays on the right side of that line.  :police:
