Grocery store had 5 ears of corn for $3, so of course I bought 5. Had 3 for dinner and still 2 left for tomorrow. Nice and sweet, just about perfect.

Dear Randi:
I love fresh just picked corn on the cob.....
the two varieties I like are  Silver Queen (white kernels) and Bread and Butter (mixed yellow and white kernels)
Left to my own devices I could easily eat 3 or 4.

Nothing really.  A very small bag of popcorn.

Late nights at my office for a few days more....
...."last minute" tax work for my clients.
It is so very fortunate that my office is next door to the
best coffee shop in town....

Tonight I brought take-out to my office....
... Reuben Sandwich, French Fries with Fry Sauce and pickles... and a Chocolate Milkshake

Too tired to cook much.  Maybe some Pop-Tarts?

A Thai-ish fried rice using leftovers like ham, onion, tomato, fish sauce, soy sauce, some basil and a fried egg on top. Surprisingly delicious.

@Northern Star Girl

I still can’t fathom how you work after drinking a chocolate milkshake…that would be a work-ending food coma for me.

Some Linda McCartney chicken-style pieces, some oven chips and spring rolls. Bit of a weird combination, but basically just throwing together some of my favourites onto one plate :) It is the weekend, after all  :laugh:

Pan fried filet mignon.  Last time I was at the market I found choice cut of Porterhouse that yielded four steaks.

It was a beautiful evening so my mom and I grilled up a ribeye steak and had some creamy pasta and artichoke on the side.

I had some leftover smoked ham steaks that I had to use. So I opened a can of homemade sauerkraut that was gifted to me and threw in the ham which I sautéed with some onions, some apple slices and herbs. Yum yum. The smoked ham was the perfect complement. I have leftovers for this week.
