Problems of green pass for transgender
« on: October 21, 2021, 05:30:06 am »

Hello I am a transgender girl from Italy, now I am very concerned about the green pass issue !!  I am tired of the constant explanations and insults addressed to me in the same way of violence from people who check the green pass at the entrance to the restaurant, museum or bar.  I do not want to disclose my name and my personal information.  Now, in almost all cases when they see that I am a girl, but with a green pass for a man's name and surname, they refuse me entry!  or call the police .. I'm tired of constantly explaining my biography.  This is very humiliating to my dignity!  So what?  Don't I go anywhere now?  In Italy it takes 3 or 4 years to change documents ... a lot of bureaucracy.  Write how you deal with this situation?  maybe there is some kind of mutual assistance?  in the form of an exchange of green passes?  here in Italy they do not ask for a document at the entrance only the green pass.

Welcome to "The New World Order" Marianna! We're ALL gonna have this problem if current crop of politicians 'ave their way!

Nothing we do will be "private" anymore!

Doesn't "wokeness" just accept "i'm transgender"? Someone didn't get "the memo"? No new picture id with original "dead name" still on it? I think America just had a "National Pronoun Day" couldn't you file a complaint for them getting yours . . . CORRECT?
"But it's no use now," thought poor Alice, "to pretend be two people!
"Why, there's hardly enough of me left to make one respectable person!"

Cara Marianna,

Roberta

PS : if required i can try to translate this topic, although it strictly concerns an Italian law requirements for Covid19 emergency. Just let me know.

For the English speakers, here is a google translation:

Quote
Dear Marianna,
I live in Italy and I had to show the Green Pass to eat sitting in restaurants or bars, as required by law.

For those who do not live in Italy, I remember that this is a certificate attesting to the fact that they have received the anti Covid vaccine, or a negative test in the last 48 hours. It is mandatory to enter workplaces, restaurants, cinemas, gyms etc etc ..

During the check the personal name appears and also in my case it is male.

Uo I never got any violent response from anyone who controlled me. Only request for clarification noting a masculine name and feminine aspect: I simply replied that I was a transgender person. In my case, everything has always been resolved with a smile and an apology from those who controlled me, for not having immediately realized the situation. No problem, no need to call the police.

I remember that the Green Pass is a personal document but without a photo. Those who check it in restaurants (usually waiters) are allowed to ask for an identity document (ID) to make sure it is really ours. Although this second check is rarely done.

Using another person's green pass is a crime and you can have serious trouble with the law, I strongly advise against exchanging Green Passes.

I hope I was helpful

Roberta

Thank you Roberta for explaining the situation in Italy.

I am curious about the translation and "controller". To me in this case, "controller " has an ominous tone that does not fit well with the rest of the response. While I understand what/who is meant, I can't really think of a better word that isn't quit as ominous. What would be a more accurate word? I know it will be a SMH moment when I see a better word, lol.
