New here, can anyone help PM a member?
« on: February 11, 2022, 12:43:55 am »
Hello everyone. Am sorry if this violates forum rules in any way... I am an American expat but originally from the m east, or at least, most of my family is. I want to get in touch a user Ritana who was posting looking for Arabic folks sometime back. I can't yet PM. This is literally my first post... in fact, I don't think I wil reach 15 posts for a long time as all the info I could possibly need is already on the site... like an "Idiot's guide to..." all I can add to by posting for no reason, is noise... Could someone help me by PMing Ritana to get in touch with me... presuming she is still active here. Many thanks.
Thanks also to all the people who are behind getting this site and wealth of info out there. When lost in the jungle, a compass is your best ally.

Dear TCC,

Yes, I agree that many of our past threads are a wealth of information on the concerns of people with gender related issues, but there is always something new being discussed. Sometimes, we think that we understand an issue and then somebody else makes a comment that I never thought about. This happens all the time here at Susan's Place. So, feel free to join in the conversations.

Take care and see you around.  :-*

Welcome The Cheshire Cat!

Chrissy
Be a good example of good behavior.  Always be kinder than needed.  Be tender to others.  You are as beautiful as the thoughts you think and the words that you speak.   Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding.  Knowledge and action shown without love is not impressive.  If you look for the good in people you will find it. Healthy relationships are so important to good living.  Serve others.

Good living, joy, unity, love, and happiness can come from following these practices: Never let selfishness or conceit motivate you.  Regard others as more important than yourself.  Do not limit attention to only your interests, but include the interests of others

It is not usually about how fast you transition, it is about how well you transition.

Thanks for the welcomes and replies, everybody. Some day, I will try post on here, my somewhat different perspective for I can add some uncommon legal and cultural context.

@Devlyn: Thanks for pinging @Ritana. Didn't get any PMs so far. Been a few days. Do you know if she is still active on the site? Like people are on a support site for a certain stage or project in life, then move away and such? Thanks again.

...Do you know if she is still active on the site? ...

Ritana was last active Feb 12, but I have no indication if she read her mention or responded to it.

Over the years we have had many people come and go for any number of reasons. We are here if you want to talk to us. Some people just want a break from our discussions, while a few have just moved on.

Hmm. So @Ritana is still on the site... may be she will respond some point. Lot of people kind of tune out msgs other than their own posts and threads... could be that. But, thanks a lot for checking up.

In support groups, in person or online, whatever the purpose - addiction, grief, illness, asylum... I have found people participate till they get whatever they aim at, then move on with a "mission accomplished" feel... I found this the case with the more active people in group situations... the journey ends and the fellow travelers part. I saw myself doing this with a couple of cancer support groups in the past... long before social media existed or selfies and tweets..
