Oh ok that is good to hear. Glad everything worked out for you and it was a success.

Len

Hello Len

I agree with all you say. I did research my second choice surgeon at the same venue (Nuffield Brighton, UK) and was/am very satisfied with the result of my GRS last June.

Thank you Len for your kind words above on my GRS.

In terms of FFS (which I am presently not considering), lets hope former patients of Dr Bart are accommodated happily both in terms of surgeon and geographically.

Hugs

Good points and good questions.

I did link to the Kellie M piece but forgot that I wasn't supposed to so that was edited out. Easy to find references to it online.

I know what you mean about him and perhaps I was one of the luckier ones. Yes, they did indeed want payment up front but I think that's quite standard isn't it for feminisation surgery?

I had FFS with Dr. Bart and he truly changed my face for the better. I now have a more feminine version of myself. No barbie doll face or an unnatural look. I had it done in Dec 2019, before Covid shut down all surgeries. I do have to admit that it took me about 2 years to get rid of all the swelling. His bone work was deep and very precise but it took longer to heal than other surgeons.

As for me, since I booked in early 2019 I paid a deposit (50%) when I booked the surgery date and the other 50% had to be received before the surgery date. After Covid, a lot of surgeons lost money during the shut down so they implemented policies to be paid in full in advance.

I hope that the vitriol displayed towards me goes away and disappear forever. He was hounded incessantly.

also I know he did change a lot of trans women's life for the better for sure.

personally I didn't gel with him but I admire some of his work

Apologies for the delay. I had Hairline lowering, Type 1 Brow Bossing, Brow lift, rhinoplasty (only the side bone was shaved), lip graft to the face and lip lift.

I think his bone work was very good. I am a little on the fence about his soft tissue work. The lip lift was aggressive and my mouth sometimes looks like an upside down frown. i think he should have focused on the bone work only. That was his strength.
