Hello again Everyone

Further to my Consultation post a month ago in which I decided to pursue BA, I had my preop assessment in Liverpool Feb 24th and hence my BA could go ahead on Feb 28th.

I was driven from home to Burcott Hall Bromsgrove for Hospital Admission 1.00pm on Feb 28th. I met my anaesthetist who kindly agreed to give me antisickness medicine later in Theatre and my Surgeon, Mr Khoda, again and we went through our agreement/decision made a month earlier. The only matter TBD was the size (between the 2 possibles) and after careful consideration I maintained my plan for Mentor High Profile Plus Silicon 570cc Right and 620cc Left for the purpose of correcting my asymmetry. I went to the ward and waited for my BA surgery which took place at 4.30pm. Before putting me to sleep in Theatre, Mr Khoda even showed me the box containing the specified and correct Implants!

I was awake within the hour but felt very groggy but not sick. They had of course put my Compression Bra (fortunately front fastening) on me before ceasing anaesthesia. I had a good dinner later and was very well looked after in the evening and had breakfast in the morning and was discharged afterwards and driven home.

The brief view I had in Hospital of my new <not allowed> and subsequently at home when changing my Compression Bra ( I have 2 for washing and cleanliness purposes) is such that I definitely made the right decision in terms of size, the weight of them does not bother me and at this early stage they look really good and I am more than happy with them.

I have my postop check in Liverpool March 7th and hopefully final check with Surgeon at the Pines, Wythenshawe on May 25th.

I am not going to assume everything will be perfect as this is early days, but for the record at this point in time I am delighted!

Hugs
