I am so weary of the Mail stable's hatred towards and obsession with transgender people.

I won't link to today's front page but it's yet another article (written by a man) on this topic. The Telegraph is also on something of a crusade.

They are so full of hostility. So blind to nuance and complexity. So intent on waging an 'anti-woke' war. It makes me despair of Britain especially under this current Government.

Sigh. Long long sigh.

It's sad that there are so many news sources which slant or 'cherry pick' information so it only shows the side of the story they want to show. There is a news channel in the US that I used to watch all the time, but over the last few years their corporate dislike of the LGBTQ+ community has become so rabid that I refuse to watch them now. For many information outlets it seems they will only report news which supports their viewpoint. The days of just reporting the facts are long gone, an the 'facts' being reported almost always tainted.

I know this is an older post.. but there is a remarkable co-incidence for me.. You see, on the 5th of April, I was at home recovering from my GRS just 3 weeks earlier and my bf (an American) was looking after me.. that day he wondered to the local store and bought a newspaper... just happened to be the Mail.. and that story.. it sort of upset me too.. bigoted and irrational reporting but doing so by quoting this organisation out of context..
It is akin to printing about ethnicity, by quoting a far right movement.. and as is usual with the Mail, because the rhetoric fits their agenda they failed to offer any other source or unbiased comment..  I also remember within the pages of this edition a story about someone who was transgender and decided to de--transition .. their blame at the system  failing them was blown up big, whilst their admittance that they also insisted they were transgender to everyone who asked and even lied about stuff to psychologists and doctors was glossed over, in small print at the end of an article (split onto another page)...

With this one publication I have never felt so attacked or upset.. to think this was bought, in innocence and brought into my home.. is disturbing.. When I started talking and getting upset about the contents of this to my bf.. he promptly took the paper off me and discarded it..
In the rubbish (or trash!) is the best place for such cr*p as this..

That is the article.. and so I went to find their source.. Now, this was published on the 5th of April, as a breaking, front page news.. when in actuality, the memo was released from the Equality and human rights commision, in December!!
it is actually very pro-transgender rights.. I will post it here so you can read both and see where the bigotry was intoned.
