Natural look or the doll look
« on: April 20, 2022, 02:00:58 am »
So, I was having this discussion with some friends, and I have noticed such an increase of women (also trans women) who seem to go overboard with their fillers.
Obviously somebody has to be comfortable and feel beautiful when they look in the mirror.

But did you notice this too? Like, a good number of women really going to pretty extremes? I find it that when overdone, it can be a huge indicator of the "trans look" too.

I don't know, personally, I like an effective FFS that is feminine, but subtle. rather than the more "artificial" look

What do you think? do you ever get fillers or do you stay clear?

Without a doubt.

Trowelling it on is very common in the young cis world. In trans women it can very, very, obviously make you look trans.

Subtle makeup can be a wonder and applying it well is an art. My most convincing ever day, when I appeared on television, was when I took 10 minutes over my makeup. Light, subtle, touches and I looked amazing. There I've said it   :D

Very true.

I feel like cis women are going at It too, ageing them pretty badly.

but for us trans girls, I think we take it to FFS, which gives good natural feminine results, to then chase that specific unnatural look, to take you back to the marker of "obviously trans" (instead of before FFS, where it was more like obviously manly features)

I've seen a few on instagram who really seem to have gone cray for fillers.

Personally its my worst nightmare.

I really did not want the overdone FFS look that seems to be coming from the West Coast and Hollywood in particular.

I chose a surgeon who is known for a natural look. He is Dr Mardirossian who is in Jupiter, FL. Dr M trained with Dr Spiegel in Boston, who is also known for giving their patients a natural look.

Having said this, some people do want the overdone "Hollywood" look. If this is what you need, then go for it.

I have no fillers, but I have had a few injections of a Botox like product called Dysport. It seems to last a bit longer than Botox. This is really not a filler, but it does relax creases and frown lines on my face. Again, this is not for everyone, but I am 72 years old and I need it.

When you say fillers, do you mean fat grafting to the cheeks? Or like, silicone? I thought fat grafting was fairly common.

Fillers as in the hyaluronic acid thing. I don't think its actual silicone but its like a man made material rather than fat grafting.
