Had FFS!
« on: May 29, 2022, 01:42:03 am »
So I went in on Friday morning, accompanied by my best friend. And I have to say I was only nervous the morning of the operation but I think its understandable.

as mentioned before, I picked Dr Inglefield who works at LTC, and there was also a new surgeon assisting called miss Berridge, she specialises in Maxillofacial works, but I didn't have anything done to my chin or jaw so I wasn't concerned.

Anyway, I got home the same day, was super dizzy and I really seem to take general bad for the first day or so. I ended up throwing up at home (I had the same during BA) even when given anti-sickness meds.

all is good now, and I removed the head bandage and washed my hair this morning and OMG. no bruising at all, just swell but its not even that BAD. I am super surprised. and can already see the difference and im loving it. so I can't imagine once im fully healed.

as said, I got a nose job, a brow contouring, and raised my eyebrows. and that is about it.

Pain wise, I have to say I did struggle with how congested like I felt and the banging head ache. but it seems to be subsided and Im quite okay. again, considering im 48hrs post op, its amazing!

Also wanted to mention how nice Dr Inglefield was, I really felt so reassured by him, he called me yesterday morning to check if all is good. and yeah, I was overall very happy with the whole experience. my only little downside is that I didn't stay in hospital overnight and that'd have been less daunting to kind of go home with uber. tho I live about 30 mins away from the clinic so It was okay-ish. thank the lord for my bestie.

Now, I can't wait for full recovery and see the results . so so excited for all that jazz :)

WOW!  Such a hottie!

I ain't gonna lie, Ronnie... when I looked at that first picture, I couldn't tell who was the transgender woman and who was the BFF!  How long have you been on HRT, and when did you start?

I'm glad that everything seems to be going pretty well in recovery.  My FFS is scheduled for November, so I'm starting to get excited about it.  I'm amazed that you didn't have to spend a night in the hospital -- I guess since your work wasn't particularly extensive, you didn't have as tough of a recovery?

I'm so excited for you!

Thanks Sara! very kind of u to say <3

And I know the day care was the only thing that I found tough, but yes my operation lasted less than 3 hours as it wasn't extensive work and was mostly to do little things that I didn't like about my face. (like my nose, never liked it)

ive been on hormones for like 2 years but I've always had quite feminine features to begin with, and after 7 months of HRT I was able to blend and pass very easily. my FFS was mainly fixing the insecurities in my mind about myself rather than how I am perceived by others. :) I am excited to see how the tweaks are gonna look once im fully healed :)

I'm going with Facial Team in Marbella.  I'll be there for 2 full weeks, and I have two nights scheduled in the hospital.  They say that the surgery will be around 11 hours.  Eight hours of general anesthesia, and 3 more of twilight sedation for the hair grafts.

Us older gals need more extensive work than you youngsters!  ;D

I chose them because I like the team approach where there are different people who have specific specialties.  I also like the fact that no one person will be working on me for an extended period of time.  People get tired, and when they get tired, they also get sloppy (at least I know I do).  I'm also a believer in the coronal incision approach -- Since I have already had two hair transplant surgeries already, I don't want to mess them up with a hairline incision.

im sure u will be super amazed by Facial team, I mean they are super known for doing amazing FFS. and the fact that you have a different surgeon doing their bits, that's even better as that sounds quite a long op. I definitely wish you the best and speedy recovery

I was meant to have a consultation with them (I went to 2pass and also LTC in London) but ended up cancelling it once I was set on Chris I

exciting times! try not to think about it and the day will literally come :)
