Hello!
« on: July 20, 2022, 01:01:19 am »
Hi everyone! I'm Fresca. I'm 49, and started HRT in February after my egg essentially exploded like the Death Star. I had so many clues I didn't even realize! So I've been on HRT for 5 months. Sadly, my original physician started me on lowest standard of care, and refused my informed consent. So my labs (baseline and 3 months)

Baseline

T - 530
E - 33.8

3-month

T - 375
E - 23.8

It was really devastating to see the E go DOWN from where it was before I even started. I switched to another clinic that has more experience treating trans patients. Now my T is like 12, and my E is in the upper 500's. Which I guess is too high, according to them? Also, they added medroxyprogesterone at the 3-month mark. I'm already measuring at a 38B at 5 months in, do you think the progesterone will help?

Anyway, pleased to meet you all!

Congratulations on doing what you have needed to do.   ;)

The difficult thing that many of us must deal with is the agonizing slow way that hormone therapy works. At 5 months in, you are just starting out. Many of us do not maximize our breast growth for 3 or more years. For those initial 3 years, we just put up with (and sometimes enjoy) all the changes that occur when we embrace our womanhood. It has been there all the time, it just needed to mature.

As for progesterones helping with breast maturity, some women find it helpful and others report little or no effects. The current thinking in the medical community is to mimic cis-women's hormones levels as much as possible. Estradiol is your main feminizing hormone. As long as your blood levels are somewhere near the natural blood levels of cis-women, you will feminize very soon. Some trans-women endose Progesterone in addition to Estradiol, but many feminize just fine without it.

Hi!

Welcome @FrescaFresco

Chrissy
Be a good example of good behavior.  Always be kinder than needed.  Be tender to others.  You are as beautiful as the thoughts you think and the words that you speak.   Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding.  Knowledge and action shown without love is not impressive.  If you look for the good in people you will find it. Healthy relationships are so important to good living.  Serve others.

Good living, joy, unity, love, and happiness can come from following these practices: Never let selfishness or conceit motivate you.  Regard others as more important than yourself.  Do not limit attention to only your interests, but include the interests of others

It is not usually about how fast you transition, it is about how well you transition.
