Name on parents will

(1/1)

Carla68:
Hi all,

I have just received a copy of my fathers will and it has my old male name on it
And he has asked me to sign some other paperwork to be trustee

I suspect it will be the same on my Mothers one too

Not sure what to do as haven't mentioned I am transgender or that I have had surgery and changed name to either of them

And not seen for a while because of covid and living in different countries

Should I just hope it is obvious who I am was

Carla

Margrit:
Hi Carla68

I recommend trying to talk to your parents, as legally relevant documents must be correct.
Otherwise they may lose their validity and that is not what you want.

Best wishes
Margrit

Dear Carla:
It might be worth your money to seek the advice of a legal expert/attorney.
There are just too many variables that could go terribly wrong with leaving things as they are.
Wishing you well.
HUGS,
Danielle
