A brief introduction

(1/1)

StineToft27:
After having read the "Announcements", "Site Policies and stuff to remember" and "Greetings links for new members",
I now feel that I am well prepared to give a Brief introduction.

First off, my name is Stine Toft (accepting all risks in sharing personal info), I come from Denmark, is married and living with my wife, her son and her mother. I was born intersex, assigned male at birth and is mtf. I have been transitioning for 19 years and one might think that, that is a long time, which it is, but my journey haven't been a walk in the park.

I have been seeking genital reconstructive surgery for all this time, have undergone reparative therapy, been diagnosed with a chronic stress disorder because of my experiences, been passed around the Danish healthcare system like a hot potato, have been on badly regulated hrt since 2012 and is now on hrt at a gynocologist
(in the official health system) who regulates estrogen according to an 8 year old and my prolactine, like a pregnant woman.

I am seeking another provider of hrt (legal ofcourse), but for now I am stuck with the one I have.

According to the surgeon providing genital reconstructive surgery in Denmark, I need to loose 25-35kg (55-77lbs) to be considered for surgery, so alot of my life is dedicated to diet.

When I'm not dealing with transition related stuff, I spend my time as chair of a human rights based intersex organisation and I love to cuddle with my dogs of which I have three, two porcelaines and a poodle.

Happy to meet all of you... oh yeah and I am 36 years old.

Welcome Aboard Stine!

Definitely not a walk in the park!… 19 years! You are certainly not a stranger to challenge sister!… Kudos to you for your good work as a chair for intersex rights and your tenacity in what must feel like an extended wrestling match with all the powers that be in your health system! All good things to you as you continue on… the weight can be lost! The power to do that is within your grasp! There was a recent thread with lots of good thoughts offered on the subject of weight loss here…

https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,259918.msg2467238.html#msg2467238

Perhaps some of what was offered may be of value! Welcome again and know you have arrived in a wonderful place here to be heard and supported as you continue to move towards the life you seek!

Onward We Go Brave Sister!!!
