I still feel bad after 4 years' experience of wearing legging
« on: November 17, 2022, 10:43:38 pm »
I really enjoy wearing legging, at home and outdoor. I have special preference for shiny leather legging. I forget how long I haven't gone out with a normal men trouser.

However, I am still experiencing pressure from strangers when I go out with it, even after 4 years. They stare at me, and then my legging, and then stare at me again. I just feel so bad.

But I know that I will not give it up because of the strangers' stare, definitely won't. How would you think to help yourself feel better and less stressed if you were me?

Let the strangers stare and have your mind made up to
live your life as you want.... dress as you want.

If you go out and about with some of your accepting friends
that should help you to reduce your stress level...
...... safety in numbers !!!
HUGS and best wishes to you.

I wear shorts over my leggings and I never get a comment or stink eye look by anyone ever,,,,  I do it to hide my bulge that may be offensive to others of either gender.   I wear black or dark tan colored leggings or some that have a conservative print on them,, I do so as to not bring attention to myself.    Shiney colored show off leggings could cause the issue.

Try it...

Leg warmers can give a cute look and keep my legs warm.  I have not bought any leggings.

Be a good example of good behavior.  Always be kinder than needed.  Be tender to others.  You are as beautiful as the thoughts you think and the words that you speak.   Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding.  Knowledge and action shown without love is not impressive.  If you look for the good in people you will find it. Healthy relationships are so important to good living.  Serve others.

Good living, joy, unity, love, and happiness can come from following these practices: Never let selfishness or conceit motivate you.  Regard others as more important than yourself.  Do not limit attention to only your interests, but include the interests of others

I have been wearing leggings for a couple years. I barely wear my old pants unless it gets bitter cold out. Sure, I got(get) some looks, but I figure that's their problem. A few ppl asked my wife if I was a runner, she said, either "nope, the compression helps with his legs, or he just likes them" I have actually received compliments from women I didn't know.
During the warm months I wear leggings 80% of the time unless I am wearing shorts.. They do have a tendency to get hot.
A couple things to consider:
There are places (I believe NYC) that its not uncommon to see men walking around the street with leggings on
Men's Leggings (often referred to as Meggings) are a thing. They are used for style and running

Just consider that you are ahead of the fashion curve

Hi all, I do not want to start a new thread on similar topic but I hope my reply here is read.

Just yesterday it was the FIRST TIME EVER in the four years' experience of wearing shiny leather legging I was offended by a stranger in the street that he looked totally normal and he wasn't drunk, he said I was a wired  reprobate  to put on women's legging.

Although it was the first time ever in four years, I feel so upset now. Note, I wear only women's legging always, I always wear a men's jacket.

Do you have similar experience? How do you overcome it?

I never had such an experience, but if it happened to me I'd simply ignore that dude, knowing very well that the truly weird reprobate in this case is him, not me.

It is just not worth feeling upset about all that garbage that escapes these people's mouths.

I'd like to include a few pictures of what I wear daily. However, I am not able to figure out how to upload a picture?

You need to use an image hosting site. Imgur is popular, I use the Gallery here on the site.

You can sometimes copy the link for use in a forum directly from the hosting site, or you can click on the little Mona Lisa icon above the reply box, which will give you a set of image tags [img][/img]

You insert your photo link in between the open and close image tags like this:

When you hit the post button, it will display the picture:

I found that if i post my pictures to Susan's gallery in JPG format then go to the gallery and click the image/ copy the image address/ go to the post you want to insert the image and click on the image icon on the left under the B(bold). That inserts brackets with img ,which i usually spread apart with the space bar then paste the address in between, post and view just to be sure. Be careful to make the image bigger before coping the address or you will get a thumbnail.
Hope this helps. It took me a while to figure it out.

I started wearing leggings in 2003 for both fashion and exercise, and people around me all praised it. Nowadays, leggings is a main trend among young women here. A problem is that some of them wear without a skirt or short pants, revealing the bulge part, causing a lot of debate both among men and women here. Here in South Korea, both men and women wear leggings for outdoor exercise such as marathon.

Recently, I seldom wore leggings because of some dermatological problem. But my friends and colleagues recommended to wear leggings instead of skirt, as they think my legs look better with leggings. When I walked together with my friends in the street, they later said that they were surprised that so many people watch my wearing leggings from behind. As I can not look back, I have never noticed it.

A few days ago, I tried wearing leggings, and I have ordered several pairs of open-crotch leggings to avoid the dermatological problem.
