Brand avoidance for odd reasons
Jessica_Rose:
Are there any brand names or stores you avoid for an odd reason? I'm not asking about product quality, price, or experiences with the product or store, just products or places you avoid for weird reasons.
I avoid the 'Guess' brand of clothing because I don't want anyone to guess about my gender.
My mom would never visit a Volvo dealership or consider buying one of their cars because the spelling and pronunciation were too close to that of a female body part.

Hobby Lobby and Chick-Fil-A for starters.
I generally do not buy at places that promote anti-trans propaganda.

I avoid anything with elephants in their logo's.. or on the packaging.. its a superstitional type of thing.
(edit.. Yeah, I know I am weird.. it's been said already!)

I don't think it odd at all, those two businesses have a decades long history of hate. I avoid them both and actively encourage others to boycott them.
About a decade ago Boston's then Mayor Tom Menino (who has since left office and passed away) wrote an infamous letter telling off Chick fil A. While somewhat motivated by politics, I've always thought it said things well.
