A shopping centre has outraged female customers by taking down a 'ladies only' sign from outside the women's toilet after a transgender and non-binary group complained it puts their community 'in danger'.
The sign was put up in the busy Prospect Centre in Hull, East Yorkshire, when the gents' loos were temporarily closed.

The Prospect Centre shopping cecntre in Hull, East Yorkshire has outraged female customers by taking down a 'ladies only' sign (pictured) from outside the women's toilet after a transgender and non-binary group complained.

The group claimed that the sign could encourage so-called 'toilet policing', where people are challenged on their appearance or sexuality, when going into the men's, women's or disabled toilets.

But the move has upset many female shoppers.

One woman said: 'This is just another example of people, businesses and organisations panicking in the face of criticism from a very small but very loud and militant community.

'The sign was there to ensure women using the women's toilets were not made to feel unsafe or uncomfortable by men coming into the loos.

'Today Prospect Centre had let us know that they have listened to our concerns, and these signs will be taken down immediately, which we welcome.

The most militant and vocal, plus accessed group (through newspapers and government) are the TERF’s and this is an example of their influence in British society. This move at the shopping centre seems to me to been that of practicality. Gender nautical toilets are common in many countries in the world. All loos I went in in Moscow were GN and by definition trans friendly
