Kawaii style
« on: March 12, 2023, 04:20:21 pm »
I’ve started getting getting into some kawaii fashion and just cutesy fashion.
I just got a hello kitty tracksuit and. Oversized Barbie logo shirt. I want to eventually add some more pastel kawaii clothes. I just want to wear and decorate my room to have a very innocent vibe to it.
I was thinking long term of getting these pink cheetah and graffiti heart leggings as my career will be in exercise science.

I have a friend who also likes kawaii clothing but is a music therapist major and says there’s much less stigma in that major which makes sense. I like the style even though there’s some stigma with it as some people find it childish sometimes.

I’m not that worried about being taken serious or not in everyday life. I’m only concerned with being taken serious as a coach or personal trainer, in kawaii inspired active wear.
I think I’ll wear what I want no matter what at the end of the day.

I’m just wondering if there is anyone else with experiences wearing kawaii clothes or anybody with any opinions on this, of any kind.

Although it may allude to pedophilia, it seems well accepted and popular in Japan.  Female adulthood age is 16 in Japan.

I also like wearing cute girly clothes, sometimes with flowers.

I love your outfit with the skirt and yellow sweatshirt. Yellow is a good color on you. Also have you ever thought of making a Instagram page for you outfits?

I find it so annoying people think it may allude to pedophilia.
It is well accepted in Japan, I’m in America where it’s definitely less accepted.

What do you think about wearing bright pastels, hello kitty, and pig tails more often once my hair is long enough, outside of work and incorporating it into some outfits at work as a coach or personal trainer once I graduate.

I know you said you dress younger than some of your students sometimes. Do you ever have trouble due to to dressing younger?
I’m just wondering as I wonder if kawaii will have that possibility.

Yes. I have an Instagram page, but I occasionally post there. I am active in Facebook. My Instagram page is: https://www.instagram.com/sjung21/

Nowadays many aged people here in S. Korea try to look younger with bright clothes. People do not like anybody who does not care about his/her appearance. To get a nice job, people here need to take care of their appearance. Even men are wearing makeup here.

For example, you would not see any bold man in the street or subway of Seoul, the capital city. All bold men in Seoul wear a wig.

I think people will like your taking care of your appearance whatever you prefer to wear. My experience tells that tastefulness does matter to be accepted well as transgender in a society. I think my fashion sense and makeup skill has been gradually enhanced with a lot of trial and errors. I avoid heavy makeup, as women here prefer natural-looking makeup.

To look younger, I have to exercise regularly, and students respect it.

I agree a transgender persons fashion is very important .

I’m going to wear what I like.
I am just worried some about being taken  less seriously by some in my field.

I find that very interesting most bald men wear wigs in Korea. I did know a lot of men wear makeup. Do you just like Korean culture and know all this information or do you live in Korea, if you don’t mind me asking? I’m just curious as South Korea as well as Japan are two places I dream of visiting.
