Hey Sofie!

Welcome to the forum dear sister and congrats on the brave step forward toward the life you want to live!

I think being in the best physical condition goes a long ways towards a quick recovery…  Exercise helps keep you prepared mentally and physically for what is to come and keep a good nutritious diet to go hand in hand with the exercise as well

Make plans on how you will spend your recovery time, time itself seems to pass much more slowly when we are healing and waiting to feel 100% again… make lists of shows you want to binge or books you want to read etc.

Keep your fears in check… They can get quite vocal before your procedure… let the fears have their say but, don’t let them be the loudest voice in your head… instead, focus on the well founded hope within you that this will be an amazing, liberating and affirming process… because that is exactly what it will be!… All shall be well 😀👍

My surgeon gave me a list of things to have with me in my recovery hotel room. Other than that, all the preparations were clearly laid out many months before my surgery, such as genital electrolysis and getting medical clearance for the surgery.

I had no doubt as to what I needed, mentally speaking. I had wished for that day for many, many years.
