hello hey c: , my name is maya i am  26 years old i am a israeli bedouin arab woman and im so glad to meet yall. i intially have known about susans place and this community for a very very long time but have rarlly particapated out of hesitation and a lot of complicated internal emotions because i had a hard time coming to terms with who i am but alas , after  a few rough bumps along the road  im 2 years on hrt now which is a big win for me, even though im doing soo secretly because i live with family still due to the rise of the cost of living , i am currently studying software development
so that hopfully i am able to afford to live as myself some day  but for now i think the most helpfull thing would be to find community online or irl , i am a very shy and introverted person sooo i do need to get out of my comfort zone and meet lovelly people from the community irl but for most part i am mostly interacting with others through online means, and i hope that we can be friends c:

Hi Maya!  Welcome!

I totally agree with you that finding community is really important.  There's no way I could have made it through the past few years without my friends both online and in real life.  I owe all of these wonderful people a debt of gratitude.

Hopefully you are able to finish your degree, move out, and get your life on the track you want!  I know it's possible... you just have to work at it!

Good luck with everything!

~Sara

Welcome back Maya!

Chrissy
Be a good example of good behavior.  Always be kinder than needed.  Be tender to others.  You are as beautiful as the thoughts you think and the words that you speak.   Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding.  Knowledge and action shown without love is not impressive.  If you look for the good in people you will find it. Healthy relationships are so important to good living.  Serve others.

Good living, joy, unity, love, and happiness can come from following these practices: Never let selfishness or conceit motivate you.  Regard others as more important than yourself.  Do not limit attention to only your interests, but include the interests of others

It is not usually about how fast you transition, it is about how well you transition.
.

I am a brown eyed brunette.

Hello Maya,

Welcome back to the Forums. Transitioning can be difficult even with support, having to transition in secret can be even more challenging. Please feel free to ask questions or even vent frustrations. Know you are among friends here who will be as supportive as we can be.

I'm looking forward to hearing more as you pursue your studies and goals and your journey to becoming who you are.

Wishing you only the best.

Hugs,

Traci
