What's your favourite doughnut.. (and how do you spell doughnut?)
SarahEL:
Calling all doughnut lovers! I'm curious to know - what's your go-to doughnut flavour? With so many delicious options out there, it's hard to pick just one. For me, I can never resist a chocolate frosted doughnut - the perfect combination of fluffy dough and rich, chocolatey goodness. But maybe you prefer something more fruity like a raspberry filled doughnut or something classic like a glazed doughnut? Or maybe you have a favourite local bakery that makes the best doughnuts in town. Whatever your preference, I'd love to hear it and maybe even get some new doughnut recommendations. So, what's your favourite doughnut flavour? ???
Northern Star Girl:
My preference is "raised" donuts instead of "cake" donuts.
Chocolate covered or Maple covered.... yummy.
Regarding the spelling.... I almost always spell it "Donut"

Doughnut or Donut: What’s the Difference?

"Doughnut is the original, generally preferred spelling of the word. It is more common in the United States and vastly more common internationally. Donut is an Americanized, shortened version of donut that isn't incorrect, but it is much less common."
ChrissyRyan:
Doughnut is preferred, as is “through” instead of “thru.”
But sign makers and buyers may appreciate fewer letters.
I like twists with brown sugar on top.

So many options! Sign me up for a Dunkin's Boston Cream, or a chocolate filled powdered doughnut (totally meets the fluffy and gooey criteria).
Sarah, I recommend a visit to a Stan's (Chicago) if you can manage it. They have amazing doughnuts.

I almost got it right. Just make the fluffy dough chocolate and then you have the perfect doughnut.
FYI, I have never met a doughnut that I do not like. Sort of like chocolate in general.
