Hmmmm. Just found this forum topic.

Extra Class. Licensed since 1954 while in high school. Now have a Hawaiian call.

Condo living in Hawaii with permission for an antenna on the roof (above 77 noisy solar panels.) Emergency communications rationale. Mini beam/WARC dipole combo.

Operate mostly FT8 in the evening, but - thanks to the sunspots - 10/15/20m are currently open during the day and evening. 162 confirmed countries with 150 watts max.

Dear Robyn:
Thank you for finding the "Hobbies" sub-forum and sharing about your Ham Radio
interest and experiences.
It is terrific to see that we have members here on Susan's Place and the Forums
that are also interested in Amateur Radio.   
Ham Radio was a much bigger thing before the internet, satellite communications and cell phones.
Back before the 80's and 90's ... Ham Radio was just about the only way the common person to
frequently and economically communicate long distances.
