women's sports jacket?

(1/1)

mf2020:
Besides the style, what is usually the sizing difference between a man's and a woman's sports jacket? I'd like to buy a woman's jacket because of the style and the discount but I have hard time deciding the right size. Should I go for a larger size or smaller size? I have picked a very wrong size for a couple of times on women's leggings before I could realize the best size for myself, but jacket is a lot more expensive.

Very roughly....

     a Men's "Small" compares to a Women's "Medium"
          a Men's "Medium"  compares to a  Women's "Large
a Men's "Large" compares to a Women's XL  (extra large)

Obviously, trying it on is the sure-fire way to know if it
fits properly and looks OK on YOUR body.

Best wishes,
Danielle

I have picked larger size on women's legging for a couple of times and at the end of the day I went for a smaller size, shouldn't it be the same for women's jacket?

sandrauk:

I wear UK10 jeans but UK16 in tops and jackets. The problem for me is the arm size and the shoulder width, and I'm not muscled at all, but I have trouble with the thickness and the length of the sleeves. As Danielle says you really have to try them on as it varies from garment to garment.

Maid Marion:
Woman will spend a lot of time shopping for clothes that fit well.  Not just the size, but the shape of the clothes needs to match their figures.  Many women are actually rectangular, rather than super curvy.  But they make clothes for both.
