TRICARE Select

(1/1)

Bobbijean:
Hello!

I am retired Army and am now on Tricare select.  Is anyone aware of what, if any, transgender care is covered?  I am specifically curious if hair removal (electrolysis) is covered.  I was told that Tricare may cover hair removal at a military post.

Kindest regards,

Dear Bobbiejean
There are threads from a few years ago on this Military Veterans Confab topic/subforum:

Question for US Veterans - what has VA actually covered for you, medically?

Be certain to read all of the posts and comment replies on those threads...  and you should do some of your
own research to determine what exactly is available to you.
