Hello all!
exmtf:
I am an ex/new member. I used to be a member here many many years ago when I was transitioning. After 10+ years of transitioning and living FT as a female, I detransitioned and moved to another state. The reasons were both medical and personal. My detransition was 12 years ago, but after approximately 13 years on estrogen, I still have some feminine features, mainly breasts. The estrogen was good to me, as I developed much larger breasts than I or my doctors expected, especially for my age (I wasn't a young man when I started). When I detransitioned, I saw a surgeon that I knew well and asked about a mastectomy. He wouldn't do it. The reason he gave me was obviously not the real reason, which I never did figure out, and I never consulted with another surgeon, so I still have my breasts. And believe me, if someone tells you your breasts go away when you stop taking estrogen, don't believe it! They're big enough and I'm thin enough that it's impossible to hide them, even wearing baggy shirts. No one has questioned me, but I do get a lot of looks. I've gotten used to it. I saw, learned, and experienced a lot when I was transitioning and living as a female. Some good, some bad. I've read a few posts saying "I could never detransition". Never say never. You do what you have to do, as difficult as it is. You all know that because transitioning isn't exactly easy. So there's the abridged version of my last 20+ years. I hope I didn't bore you. But sometimes there's no one to open up to about our journey. So this is where I turned to. Thanks for listening!

Welcome back, you have quite the history. Have you had any trans surgeries?

Welcome back exmtf!
Thank you for sharing out. I am not full time yet but I love having my breasts which I hope are always there and remain rather perky. Some days there seems to be an overwhelming wave of happiness provided because they have grown over time, and perhaps that sounds corny or odd, but I cannot help it.
However I can see if a MTF woman actually detransitioned that maybe breasts would not be wanted any more.
We are all different and our lives take turns that often are not predictable.
Chrissy
