Hi and hello to all here

I hope to gradually get to know this place over the next while. I am a new joiner planning to find my way (forward) into a social and medical transition some time in the new year. My egg well and truly was cracked some time in the recent past- it is hard to name a month or week when I made the decision to 'go forward'. Counselling and personal development and reflection just led me to a point of certainty.
Like everyone I have a back story, but I'm not going to go into that here just today. But basic bio information is that I am a 63 yo. transwoman who is currently working to afford tx, and plotting and strategising to inform family about my decision. Also making plans to be able to support my future self and allow it for significant others too. The AOC in my handle is there to remind me that I am the agent of chaos who is going to upend things and to remind me to proceed with care, caution and consideration.

As you are certainly aware you can share with others and involve yourself with some give and take with other like-minded members. When frustrated or if you have successes you can share it here if you wish and receive support from others and offer support to others. ....

Welcome Aboard Lily!
Coming to the point where our worst fears about what may come from transition are outweighed by our need to hide no longer, is a glorious place to be and… the beginning of of a journey that can be whatever you choose…
Coming to all this a bit later in life lends a wonderful degree of certainty as well… by this time we have tried to live life n other ways and found they all fell short of what we truly need to be connected to life… to ourself… to others and to the world around us!
All challenges ahead can be navigated and I wish you all good things as you find your way forward! Please don’t hesitate to let me know if I can ever be of help along the way…
