Hello everyone,  I am new here and am finally ready to talk to some other ladies that may be like me.  I am 38 and my wife just left me.  I do not know what I am but I know I am not normal.  I am just trying to hold it together for my three boys.  She didn't leave me for this particular problem but I know it was part of it.  Hope that I hear from someone as I am at a loss right now and I have never talked to anyone about this before.

Hi Christine,

Welcome to Susan's, I'm sorry to hear about your wife leaving you especially if you have children. I would suggest if you are able is to get an appointment with a therapist, doesn't have to be a gender therapist right now but getting any issues out in the open and dealt with sure helps. i know i carried this huge burden about who and what i was around for way too many years, and it was a huge relief to finally get rid of it.

Thanks for the welcome,  I dont know if this burden will ever be lifted but I think I am now strong enough to at least start to be honest with myself.  I only hope someday to have the courage to be honest with others.

Hi Christine, :icon_wave:

Welcome to Susan's !

I'm sorry to hear your sad news, but I also know trauma in our lives has a tendancy to kick off our "hidden" feelings.

Please take a little time to work out how you are going to cope with those 3 wonderful boys you have in the short term, and don't spend too much time here to start with....we won't go away, and neither will the way you feel.

Take Care...

Hi Christine, I'm new here too. The one thing I've found in reading over all the varied posts  here is that there can be great comfort in the confidence and wisdom that can be found in any number of threads you can find.

I don't think you'll regret coming here  :)

Hi Christine, you are not alone now and the fact that you recognize something  is amiss is a big step in solving the problems and thoughts.
I do agree with the others that a Therapist could be of help, especially one that deals in gender issues and is sympthetic to transsexual issues. There is nothing to be ashamed of in having these feelings. That is why these sites are here, to help, guide and let you make informed decisions.

You will learn along the way that it isnt always an easy road but one that will in the end give you a measure of peace. And dont worry about the age, we come in all shapes and sizes too, lol. Welcome and hugs.

Hi Christine,   :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 1490 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion. Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers.  Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now.  And it is always nice to have another sister.   :icon_hug:

I separated from my wife a year ago, and it was because I am who I am.  But surprisingly we are friends again, not real close but at least we are talking again.  She still doesn't want to know, but she see how happy I am.
