3 tours of Bosnia Then Northern Ireland..... joined the Army voluntarily to try and make a Man of me.....that failed, here we are girls xx

I did the same thing during the Viet Nam war. Tried my best to man up, but failed later in life.

Oh well, at least I am happy now.  :P

With a tour in Northern Ireland I'm guessing you were in the British Army. Which regiment?

I did an exchange and spent some time with some other officers from Coldstream, Royal Scottish, and Blues and Royals. Great time tons of fun and tons of learning.

I joined the army for the exact same reasons, but only went on 2 tours of Bosnia but almost a year and a half in country.

9 years between Army and Air National Guard. I was a REMF in electronics repair.

Hi All!

I am currently in the Navy Reserves. Affiliated straight to the Reserves so no active duty other than my 2 deployments (Afghanistan and the UAE). I've been in for 12 years now.

I was active duty myself (USN, 2005-2010).   Two WESTPACs took me to ABOT in Iraq, so I had some time in C5F, too,

US Naval Academy Class of 1960
Four years on ADM Rickover's engineering staff.
Two years on an old Talos guided missile cruiser
Five years at MIT graduate school - Masters, Professional, and PhD engineering degrees
Two Supervisor of Shipbuilding tours
A Spanish Navy shipbuilding liaison tour
A naval logistics tour.
Retired on 20 as an O5 - Commander
34 years as a Navy contractor - all in the same program. Project Manager: Once as male and twice as female.

I had a good run until I fully retired six years ago at age 77.

Be a good example of good behavior.  Always be kinder than needed.  Be tender to others.  You are as beautiful as the thoughts you think and the words that you speak.   Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding.  Knowledge and action shown without love is not impressive.  If you look for the good in people you will find it. Healthy relationships are so important to good living.  Serve others.

Good living, joy, unity, love, and happiness can come from following these practices: Never let selfishness or conceit motivate you.  Regard others as more important than yourself.  Do not limit attention to only your interests, but include the interests of others. 

It is not usually about how fast you transition, it is about how well you transition.
