Title: A question regarding drag, sorry if it is the wrong place.
Post by: ShadowMT13 on February 27, 2018, 03:10:27 AM
Hello, I am not one of the one who do Drag I am instead a Trans FTM, but I have a question to help me better understand what it is all about so I don't have any unneeded misconceptions. So if your a Drag King/Queen what gender do you identify as? Are you trans, are you cross dressers? Please explain to me so I am better educated on what exactly you are if your into Drag, I just want to understand it better for the sake of acceptance and education. Thanks!

Hi ShadowMT13!  Welcome to Susan's Place!  I'm Jessica, a transgender woman. When I dress as my real gender, I don't consider myself being in drag. So I don't think I have the answers you need.  I'm sure someone here will post their thoughts.
I see your new here, so I'll post some links that may help you get better acquainted with the site.

Heya,

So a drang king or queen can identify as whatever gender/no gender.  Drag for some is an art form and a way to express themselves.  For others it is a form of gender discovery.  Some famous drag queens are openly transgender where as some are happy being male.  Some Trans men (FTM) and trans women do drag because they want to which is 100% ok.

I have been a drag queen before but I am a trans woman.

My hair was mine and working then it was over the top makeup but off work way more subtle. Believe it or not I had a friend that was a genetic woman that was working as a drag queen. She was taller and thicker than me but I kept her secret.
