Title: Hair
Post by: epociutee on January 03, 2018, 02:59:18 PM
Hello,

i'm pre T (ftm). i have been struggling with my identity for a pretty long time. i finally decided that i will try to flaten my chest etc. i haven't come out to anyone but my 2 close friends. they understand me and support me. my parents are way different though. but that's not the point. anyways, i'm thinking of chaging my hairstyle in future. i have shoulder length hair and i would want to cut it short, like most men wear. the thing is, i have a square shaped fave shape, pretty small, hooded eyes. my nose also bothers me. i'm extremely insecure about my fave shape and how it looks. it sucks! are there any guys here who had similar features to mine?

i really hope someone will relate to me.

thank you so much for replying (if anyone foes)

I think with a square face shape it'll be even easier for you to pass :) most pre tran guys have round faces which can look on the feminine side.

I think something like this would work. Maybe not that short on the sides though as could make accentuate too much your face shape

oh my god thank you so much! you gave me a little hope. but on the other side, i don't have a beard which makes everything so handsome, and i'm sure i'm not gonna be on Testosterone for other 5-6 years

Dude I very much recommend taking a look a this guide for hair.

The website itself is great for advice. I got a haircut like the ones suggested, slightly long, side part, with bangs. The bangs do a lot, I didn't realize that until my hair stylist chopped them off and I looked like a lesbian lmao. I have a super round face, basically no jawline, and just generally a soft face, but with this haircut, I pass 99% of the time(1% because my voice is kinda high sometimes). I'm pre-t (unfortunately) as well, and this haircut, I personally believe, is the best option for most transguys. I say that because a lot of the undercuts, short on the sides, full on the top, haircuts are common in lesbians, and many times, the hairstylist may deliberately cut it in a feminine manner if they read you as female, with this haircut, you can't look feminine, as he says, its a haircuts only guys get. This haircut frames out your face and will actually add more definition surprisingly than a short haircut. I can't recommend this haircut and guide enough man.
