Title: Transition timetable
Post by: VaxSpyder on February 21, 2018, 02:09:59 AM
I'm trying to create a plan for the first year of my transition and I've set a few soft goals and placed them in order.  If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

1 - Meet endocrinologist  (already have appointment for next week)
2 - begin attending support groups
3a - Grow out my hair
3b - Facial hair removal
3c - Get down to 299 lbs (I'm 6'6", 351lbs now)
4 - Come out to family
5 - Start hormones
6 - Begin living as female full time
7 - Lose 99 more lbs

I don't have hard dates set for anything past number 2, but I'd like to be on hormones by July if possible.  I'd like my first date on hormones to be July 23rd, the day after my actual birthday, so it can be like my second birthday!  Is it normal to be equal parts excited and scared?

Equal parts excited, scared, and "WTH am I doing?"

I don't see name change on your list, though?

Hugs, Devlyn

Hey lady I wanted to wish you all the luck in the world. Losing weight is a pain and such a hard thing to start, maintain and eventually keep that lifestyle. I myself am 5'8 and was 332 at my heaviest I saw my dr in October and as of today I'm 258 and counting. Anything is possible just listen to your body and know your limitations. They tried to push pills to help curb my appetite. I was very upfront about  wanting to do it on my own first and if I later needed help we could discuss it. For me I doubt that day will come but hey it's always an option for others. I'm on a Keto diet Incase u wanted to look that up Incase u don't already know. It's been working wonders for me.

Best wishes

Thanks Paloma.  It's been hard work losing weight but it's also empowering to take control of this problem fonally.
