Title: Advice on ffs procedures. Second surgery (photos)
Post by: violetdancer94 on May 17, 2018, 10:24:16 PM
Hello. So I am seeking a secondary ffs as I feel the first one was not quite adequate enough. I am seeking advice about my chin and jaw. The doctor that I am wanting to have surgery with has recommended my jaw to be shaved to correct asymmetry and my chin to be redone to correct asymmetry and to be remodeled, as he feels it is too small.

These are the only two procedures he has recommended that I feel unsure about. I feel my jaw and chin are not "bad" or masculine enough to require a second surgery, as the minor cosmetic improvements are far outweighed by the risks of not only bone work, but SECONDARY bone work.

I do not mind my chin and actually like it. Also, since my previous ffs doctor was so aggressive with my chin, I fear any further working of this area would be extremely risky and too my detriment. I do not really see any major asymmetries or that anything looks unnatural. I doubt I would get my chin done, but would like the honest opinions of strangers.

I have congenital ptosis (drooping) of my face and will be getting a midface lift to correct this. Part of this causes the corners of my mouth to droop. One side of my face droops more and makes my jaw appear larger on one side. Try to take this into consideration.

You will not hurt my feelings for being honest because I am far into my transition, think I am feminine and beautiful and will just be showing pictures of my chin/jaw. If I have a slight asmmetry or my jaw is big, big whoop. I'm a big girl and please don't sugar coat it. (all my friends and family sugar coat things lol).

I see nothing but a beautiful girl in those pics. FFS kinda scares me a little. I have parts of my face I wish were different, but a little makeup does wonders. Lots of cis girls feel the same way about themselves as we do.

Yes, my cis female friend said, that you will never be perfectly happy the way you look. Welcome to the club she said  :)

And I also cannot see anything else in the pictures, than a pretty young girl.

From those obscure pictures all I can see is a young and pretty girl.

What are you trying to achieve exactly? I doubt you don't pass or at least you didn't mention that. Beyond issues with passing, I can't comment because I don't know. Your pictures don't show anything masculine at all to me.

Your face is short ad round which is good for a girl. I would do more consultations before your final  choice, I can see your assymetrybin your xray but not in pics. About thw chin, only do it if you want a v shape chin which would involve a vline surgery in Korea or some US surgeon who does it like Keojampa

Your chin and jaw look -->perfect<-- for a girl,  perhaps some well lit high res photos could show otherwise because I don't see anything that needs changing here.
