I really need to start exercising im getting fat, my hips are huges. so are my bewbs...
What's a good fitness plan?
Two miles a day, just keep running, slowly is better than walking.
If you can stick with it you'll lose a nice amount of fat.
Hi
Lots of threads on this. I think one thing that came out of them as important is doing an exercise routine regularly that YOU enjoy. Make it become a habit so you miss it when you cannot do it for some reason. That way you return to it no matter what the weather, commitments etc, you want to make time for it because it makes you feel good and is a priority in your life.
I like gym work, because I live in a very hot country and my knees don't like running, and I can turn my brain off to listen to my Ipod and I know I'm safe in doors and won't get bothered by "them".
But each to their own. I suggest regular and build up to a good hour or so. Exercise is a life plan, not a short term plan. I think many people get put off because you may not see changes quickly, except muscle pain . But it does happen, you are looking at months BTW.
Also the small things. Walk to meetings, don't take (lifts?) elevators? use the stairs. Walk when you can.
As long as it is safe; park in the shopping mall so you have to walk, saves a fortune too.
Small things matter. BTW I was doing a little bit of training (as a PT) with some (charming) elderly ladies, they loved it; we would walk for 30 mins and then stop at the coffee shop and have a Latte and a cake. They wanted it that way, no matter what I said that was their fitness regime.
Hugs
Cindy.
Do some exercise that make you feel good (like someone else said) and also eat healthy and ruteinly. That will increase your metabolism so you burn more fat while not exrcising.
Dont avoid weights and muscle building... the more muscle you have, the faster you will burn off the fat... I had a GG friend who over the course of 4 months went from obese to flat as a board... literally.... like I had bigger boobies 2 months into HRT than she did after all the working out. Granted she did like 3 to 4hrs a day 5 days a week.....
Two miles is two miles, you can run it or walk it, running is faster, but the calorie burn is about the same.
