Just curious if anyone been out frolicking on the beach and feels a need to show off. I would , but I'm still working on getting my stomach down.
I don't know. I still have my bikini and I am about the right weight to wear it but are you sure the server will withstand a 63 year old in a bikini?

My 2 year old drags me to the pool almost every day. I wear a two peice tankini, I was trying to tuck when I put it on but after doing even light swimming that doesn't last. People don't really seem to look at that area that much anyway because I haven't been misgendered. I don't have a full body pic but I have been using a pic of us as my avatar for a bit.

as for those worried about looking too fat or whatever in a bikini, if you think you look good in it, go for it! I may be a good bit overweight, but I still feel confident enough to wear one sometimes (as long as it's cut right on me). wider waistbands or shorts or ones with a skirt work great for me.

My surgery is next month, 7-22-15, and I am really looking forward to summer 2016. :)

Not feeling ready to post a pic, but I did find a good two piece at Kohl's on markdown and wore it to the beach at my hotel one of the days we were down Cape May. I took a friend's advice and wore Hurley's boardshorts over the briefs. That made things much easier and I thought it was a cool little look even if I'm large and mostly shapeless.

do look like that, and it doesn't benefit my life in any way. It doesn't make me popular, rich, or even feel good about body. I still see the high forehead, and larger than average hands and feet and I feel like I look like a guy.

Finally that pool is worth a memorial - this is what I gave up and sold, in part to finance my medical degree. It was a fabulous place and I can only hope that one day when I am a consultant somewhere I may manage to have something similar again.

It is now the sales season for summer outfits. You can purchase bikinis at discounted price. In my case, bikinis usually cost above US$60, but mine was just US$20. I strongly urge you to purchase bikinis now.

I just threw my old bikini away... it was too big to wear anymore. I think I bought it when I was a size 14. Now I'm size 8. I haven't used a bathing suit of any sort for years. I prefer au natural. I have places where I go and I have my hot tub. No clothing of any kind required. Certainly pictures are NOT in order. ;)

You will look gorgeous with any type of bikini. As you know, I am not on HRT, but still can enjoy wearing bikini outdoors. You can do it right now.

Most set bikinis seem to be free size, but I guess one-piece swimming suits usually have a specific size. Mine is free size.

Here all beaches are crowded, making it difficult to take photos as passing-by people interrupt. Also massive sea grasses transported from the eastern Chinese coast accumulate in the beach. Next time, I am going to visit a rather clean and quiet beach before the summer goes.

I realized how much wearing bikini in beach can give me freedom and happiness. I had no clue. Wearing bikinis allows me to expose my nearly naked body to the public at selected public places such as pool and beach. Bikini has been a hidden realm to me. Now I realize the blessing of wearing bikini. I always worried about tucking and my lack of boos, prohibiting me from even imagining wearing bikinis. But tucking and boobs does not matter so much, just a minor and negligible issue. The most important thing is my body figure, not other sex-related biological features.
The excitement of wearing bikini is far greater than my wearing miniskirt, heels or makeup for the first time.

After watching my bikini photos, my wife suddenly suspected me as a woman who loves men.
She also once suspected it about 12 years ago when I started crossdressing.
I spent a few days to explain again to her that I am a kind of lesbian.
My sister never understood or accepted my gender identity, but she now accepts it after seeing my bikini photos.
Also, other people now completely understand who I am in terms of gender identity.
It is not bad in overall.

Yes. The minor strap was actually massive, because of the implicit agreement on bikini by the society. Nudity is allowed.

Yesterday night, I happened to go to a coastal zone for bathing in spring water with my family and a couple of my friend. I did not bring bikini pants, and did not intend to wear bikini. But, my little daughter sprinkled water to me, soaking my dress. I had to take off the dress to bathe while wearing underwear pants. A bunch of passing people were around us, as nobody was wearing bikini except me and I attracted them. Fortunately my daughter called me mermaid, but sometimes dad, too.

Oh, I can't wait to wear a full bikini set. It's like the final achievement I want to reach with my transition. Then I'll always wear a bikini on the beaches, pools, tanning on my lawn, etc. I just have to gain some weight because I'm still a little underweight and my legs are really skinny. I'll have more bikinis in my closet than anything else. There's just something about pulling off a beautiful bikini body, walking around with your bare body. It's freedom and feminism at its best. Can't wait! So Barbie stop posting pics because each time my heart begins to race of excitement, hehe.

Well. I am on diet to decrease my tummy size further. I observed that most bikini models are actually underweight, and you can wear bikini at any time.

I am traveling Kyoto, Japan. As Kyoto is warmer than my hometown, I carried my bikini, but did not have any chance to wear it here.

Yes. Most of my friends prefer my wearing longer dress and skirt, not to mention my family. I think knee-high dresses are nice to me, and I will wear them more frequently. But during outdoor exercise, I guess miniskirt is better.

As you know I am an extreme exhibitionist, and wearing bikini has solved all of my agonies recently.
There is no clear boundary between places where you are allowed to wear bikini and not. Photos are the same. You are allowed to post photos of wearing bikini, but not underwear.

I have dozens of men's "bikini" swimwear and smaller. It was the only way I could appease my feminine side before I knew there was anything else I could do about it! LOL. I used to steal female swimwear when I was younger from friends or relatives before I could buy my own.
Now, I have 4 or 5 women's bikinis that I sheepishly try on in the bathroom. No pics this year as I've only been on HRT for a couple months, but next summer it's on!

Recently I have decreased the average amount of my meals by a half. I am now a little bit hungry, craving for carbohydrates, but I can handle and endure it without any difficulty. My goal is a 26 inch waist from 29 inch.

I need to retrain myself to that feeling of a little hunger. I use to do all right with that until my knees when out. I been eating too big of portions.
After 2 weeks of dieting, my waist size decreased a little bit to 28 inch.
I purchased another set bikini, wearing it in a beach. Sea water seems to help cure the unidentified skin disease in my buttocks.

If you refer to allergies or rough skin, imo it does.
Also maybe not douching... well at your own risk but people on islands usually have the softest skin... and they do not douche off salt water straight away, they just dry it off.

Yes. That is exactly what I am doing. I do not take shower after bathing in the seawater. Just dry it off and sleep. I noticed a dramatic decrease in skin acne.

I ran to the beach, taking about 1.5 hours (12 km, 8 miles), and bathed in the sea water. It was very windy, and my body became chilly even before soaking in the sea water. I had to purchase a t-shirts at a nearby convenient store. Fortunately I did not get a cold.

Yes. There are some in the mainland, but far less than in Japan.
Even in Japan, there are no so hot springs where families or couples can enjoy together while wearing swimming suit.

Today I went to the beach at sun set. The weather is a little bit chilly, but I have to kill some microorganism in my buttocks by bathing in the sea water. The water was relatively warm.

There were a few people in the beach. A strange guy who seems to be a photographer approached me, asking something to me. But I did not reply and he just left. Another strange guy approached me, but just strolling around me, taking smartphone photos. I was nervous as he seems to take photos of me. I moved to another place, and he did not chase me any longer. A few others guys just smiled at me, and I really like and appreciate it. It is very rare here that women wear bikini at this time.

Clara, I also was afraid of wearing bikini in the beach, and even never imagined it, mainly because of the tucking issue.
But, I realized that it was all unrealistic, groundless and just imaginary fear. Nobody pays attention to it. If you are afraid of it, there are many ways to avoid it (e.g., bathing in the water or lying face down in the sand, or just running away). There are far more spaces for your privacy in the beach than in the street.
I am staying in Qingdao, China for a week, and heard that there are beaches within walking distances, and people are swimming. But, alas, the air pollution here prevents me from running outdoors and going to the beach. I miss the blue sky in my home town. News says that the fine yellow dusts here are striking my country, too.
Buy and wear bikini whenever the weather allows! Bikini means the freedom of women.

Medical HRT now about 2 years has "shrunk" me down there that now tucking is not a major issue generally. Only have to tuck a little bit.
GRS vagina surgery costs around $20,000 so that will have to wait for the time being as I don't have that kind of money.

the most effective long term methods include temporary penile inversion or using medical grade tapes.
temporary inversion is when you push the penis and gonads back up into the abdominal cavity and keeping them there with only the scrotal sac pulled back as much as is tolerable and tucked between the buns. all of it should stay in place with the tightness of the tuck. Keeping it stretched over a long time could also get you little extra depth for when you get GRS.
The tape methods have been covered on here in several threads. you could also use some tape on the sac to keep it flat in the back and in place during the inversion method until you need to go #2. (a "tail" in back is as much a visual red flag as a bulge in front)
I've used all these before getting to the point where it all just stayed up in there after years worth of use. But I wouldn't recommend duck tape- sure it'll give you one helluva good concealing, but it'll get very itchy after a few hours and can leave a rash and residue from the adhesive.

Yes that is right kinda hard at any age but somewhat harder as a girl gets a bit older. Yes you are right refined sugar is actually quite awful for the body you have a good idea to minimize that.
I have small B cup they have grown some more recently but I'd love to get DD cups or DDD cups and I might be able in not too long to get a boob job in a developing country so I have at least a chance of covering the cost. I am told by a friend that it isn't TOO much more simultaneously to get lipo and put the extra fat cells in my butt for even more sensuous curvvves. :)
Although this increases the recovery time from about 2 weeks to about 4 weeks I am told by my friend.
I am told that lipo won't work in a case of extreme obesity, but my tummy should be a suitable candidate for lipo although it may not be necessary. With more walking I likely could solve it in a few months. xx

I think that I read in one of your other posts that you are either pre HRT or just starting, so the good news is that once you get rid of the belly fat and have been on HRT long enough, you won't accumulate fat as much in that region since estrogen will cause your body to start storing fat in typically female areas, however, you will still have extra fat cells in your abdominal area, and you would need lipo to get rid of them, but as long as you exercise and maintain a healthy weight it shouldn't be an issue.
I really want to buy a swimsuit but I'm holding off until sometime after I start HRT. which is a couple weeks away. jalynn I feel you about it being hard to get rid of the belly fat. I have been on hrt since November. I started with e earlier but am just counting my start date as November when I started spiro. I still dress male on the outside for work and when out. Feel like boobs are getting to the point where they can be noticeable. I might weigh about 50lb less than last year this time. I read that the weight will transfer to other areas. Sounds great and sure am hoping. You girls look so pretty.

Thanks Michelle, Its a shame the Hat clashes rather but it was a bit windy for my straw wide brim floppy hat which goes better colour wise but is a bit prone to flying off and I didn't fancy runny down the beach after it so I had to sacrifice colour coordination.
Although i have always been a bit soft for purple I do seem to have become rather partial to the vivid fuchsia pinks and brighter purples of late.

Woman come in all sizes, and this idea that everyone should be bone skinny to wear a bikini or swimsuit is just ridiculous and even harmful to some people who take that as something they should strive for. I know that no-one cares how I look anyway. The only one who cares, is me. In fact, when you have the body of supermodel all you get is jealous looks. I enjoy my stay at the beach more than the skinny ones do, who gets being whistled at the minute she stands up. At least I'm not judged favorably by my looks. That said, who wants to be approached on the beach. I just want to enjoy the sun and take a swim.
So I wonder who truly enjoys her stay at the beach...

Depending on what country I'm in I frequently wear pink hot pants in shopping centers. I am treated excellently in person by friends and strangers when I do this. As you say, life is short -- and I sure am not 20 years old anymore --
Sometimes this has gotten me disapproval of women who feel I shouldn't dress so young. Okay for work that is fine for work I dress more conservatively -- but even then in an evening dress that is usually used by ladies say mid 30s maybe to age 40 -- and I'm well past that age. Some online women have unfriended me because they disagree that I frequently dress so young. So what. I used to let it bother me but no longer. I just don't give a s-- anymore. My happiness I've found comes a lot from flaunting my girly feminine attributes. Any person is more than welcome to unfriend me if they disagree with me about my happiness and some people have. Yesterday we went to a mountain stream. My friend, a professional photographer, took a lot of photos for me, but the photos are not yet in my hands. He also took some photos using my cheap Canon EOS.
Another friend later said to me that he saw a nearby woman also taking photos of me using her smartphone. He did not say anything to her. I do not guess her motivation, but taking photos of women in bikini without their permission can be considered a serious violation of law here.
Anyway, a photo taken by my Canon EOS. The water was so much cold, and I could not stay there in long time.

My friend, a professional photographer, tried to take photos for me in the beach, but the weather was cloudy. He said it should be sunny for taking bikini photos, and he will try again 2 weeks later.

Yesterday I drove to Busan for business meeting. After the meeting, I stopped at a nearby beach.
As the bikini was still wet, I did not wear the t-shirts in my car. The woman at the toll gate stared at me, but other women in other toll gates did not any special attention to me.
Wearing 5-inch high heel sandals alone attracted all kinds of attention. Men tended to be surprised at my height.

Yes. I will wear what I like, as I did before.
While returning home by a ferry ship yesterday, I wore flat sandals, but the degree of attention was the same.
Before the departure at the port in the mainland, we stopped at a nearby beach. The beach was far longer than all of the beaches in my hometown (Jeju island), but the water was not so much clear. Most beaches in Jeju island boast of their crystal-clear water.

I've worn my one piece to the city lap pool, but for the first time today I got out in my bikini and washed my car. Nobody to take pics of me though, so I took a selfie in the vanity mirror. Healthy? Yeah. Not so much curvy yet though. And those bikini bottoms don't flatter my butt as much as a thong does, lol. I'll look into the self timer thing. Need to figure out how to pose though. Posture, where to put my arms, etc...
Trust me, my face is not that flattering either when I've been working outside for a few hours! I had just come in from washing my car, hair was a mess, no makeup. Yikes!
Maybe I should get some glamour shots done one day. Hopefully my chest will finally have some oomph to it by next summer too. I really want to hit the beach and pool!
Thank you both for the compliments though, it helps to get some outside perspective. I was finally feeling confident that day after all this time...

Indeed. I feel I look more feminine with that hair style, which costed me about US$ 210 a few weeks ago. My friends also comment that I look prettier.
My friend, the photographer, said to me that we can go out again to take bikini photos with a sunset background, but it already became chilly at night here. He said that it is not so much chilly in beaches. We may try this week. I hope I look better with the new hair style.

The bikini set looks very pretty, and matches well with you. Keeping a healthy body figure for wearing bikini is also my long-term goal.
Here, the typhoon passed here 2 days ago, and it became chilly to swim. But it is possible to be in the water even in winter.

It is rare to see old women wearing bikini here, but I see a lot of old women from Russia, Europe and North America wearing bikini in the beaches here. Young women from those foreign countries are a kind of competitors to me.

It is sunny and 85 degrees here in SoCal. A perfect time to venture out in a bikini for the first time post op. What better way than to hitch a ride with a girlfriend on her boat and head to Catalina. I am so happy with my life right now. If I could just lose an additional 40 pounds I could almost be hot.

Ahhh thank you but losing that much will put me in the normal range for my height. I do have a lot of muscle mass that needs to be dropped. I think at 20 lbs I will look good. At 30 - 40 I will be great.

The new suits are starting to show up in the stores here in SoCal. I found this black one at Target a couple weeks ago. I've got more work to do on getting my body in shape bit I can't wait to get to the beach. Also, there is a community pool just a couple of houses down from me. I hope I don't scare too many of my neighbors.

Very nice ladies. Tgirlamc, that is a very cute bathing suit. I would be embarrassed to show my powder white vampire looking body on a beach. I already get comments about being a vampire, ghost, etc with my clothes on. And it would take less than 5 minutes for my skin to incenerate. I might even give off smoke like a real vampire. Lol

I have a blue one piece but its a size to small , if I went to the beach would that make my heart the size of a VW beetle?
I was at the community spa the other night and loved the effect the lights gave.

OK I'm a little late to this thread I know. I spent most of this week in Florida hanging out with Jessica Sondelli. She told me I needed to bring a bathing suit. I figured her pool is secluded enough I could get away with it, but no way am I going out in public wearing one. Well, Thursday morning I woke up with a fit of confidence and before it could wear off and the doubts set in again, I jumped up, got dressed and headed to the beach. My first ever bikini and my first ever trip to the beach as Alyssa.

All of you and your compliments have me blushing big time over here. It was definitely a leap of faith for me to get out there that day but I have to give credit where it's due, I have a pretty great influence in Jessica. It was a conversation she and I had the night before that gave me the strength to do it. It was scary at first but as time went on the confidence grew. Enough so that after getting out of the water, I even fired up a short live video on Facebook. :)

I'm doing fine sister!!!... It was just a temporary state of mind. I think all of us have days when it is hard to take our focus from what we see as our imperfections and find it easy to ignore the good stuff. Yesterday was my turn.... I know cis women are not immune to this either so we are in good company!...
I have so much more of a handle on it now than I use to!!!... The demons of self criticism can be tough little guys to totally wipe but, I have come so far in the art of demon management in the last couple years!!! They can make life pretty miserable if you give them power to do so. These days, I like to kick 'em in the nuts and send them on their way!!! 🐿 :)!!!!!

The problem with living near a beach Ashley.... Too many bathing suits
I don't own a bathing suit because I have no use for one. Most of the people I know only own one. My grandma has had hers so long there's a hole in the knee. But Ashley always looks so nice in her pictures I can definitely see her having a whole beach wardrobe. Lol

I'm not sure anyone wants to see me in a bikini or swim suit, I might scare people. Lots of ulgy scars. Didn't take very good care of myself when I was younger. Everything from burns to surgery to stitch scars. Have lots of funny stories though.
I don't really have full bikini pics that I am happy with. I'll work on that. They are just home shots, not beach. I do have a few bra modeling pics that I think are decent. Where can I show those?

I did not go to beach so frequently this summer, but yesterday with my family and just ago today.
After quitting smoking, I guess my body weight increased considerably and I will run more to return to my ideal body weight at 65 kg.

Spent the weekend at the pool working on my tan for this coming weekend. I'm spending the entire weekend at Zuma beach learning about myself, my view of my future and learning how to surf. Hopefully I will have a couple of pictures from there to post next week. I think my weight loss program is working pretty good.

Looking good Ashely! Target has some great deals on bikini's. I've got a lot of mine there. Walmart has had some really good deals. I've got a number of bikinis there for under $10. The turquoise and peach ones were only $6 on clearance at Walmart.
@Barbie, your bikini body looks fine by my standards. In fact, I entirely appreciate all of you swimsuit sharers on this thread, ladies. As someone who has decided my skimpy swimsuit days are behind me, I can enjoy your bikini time vicariously.
There are so many inspiring photos here. You ladies all look great. I enjoy seeing all the styles that everyone chooses. The confidence that all of you exude in these posts is so infectious. It certainly gives me hope that I can one day pull of the types of swimsuits that I've always dreamed of wearing. Yeah.. I've been surfing for about 20 years... Pretty intensely obsessed with it during certain periods over the years...I'd be out there almost every day in waves from ankle high up to about 20 foot...I think I tended to focus on stuff that I could immerse myself in and keep the dysphoria at bay!!!... There are so many good life lessons in surfing though and I am lucky to live where I do with the opportunity to experience them... I lived in the Midwest for a couple years when my ex was going to veterinary school and got almost just as obsessed with freestyle snowboarding too!!!... It was as close as I could get without an ocean!!!

That's very cool. Is surfing anything like skiing? I could see the similarity with snowboarding. Surfing looks fun though. With my luck I would end up as a snack for a shark or something even if I could try it. Lol

Sharks are one of the lessons of surfing... They are out there, but if you let fear rule you... You'll never enjoy the day!!!... Actually my old neighbor was one of the last people bit by a great white around here but he was back out there with us as soon as his wounds were healed... When people ask about sharks, I always say that there are bears in the woods somewhere but I bet you wouldn't concern yourself too much if you wanted to go for a walk in the forest... Fear keeps us safe but we should never become it's slave!!!.... Class dismissed!!! :)!!!!
I only saw a larger shark once in the water but dolphins would often pop up righ next to me when I didn't expect it and give me an adrenaline rush!!!!

Here very few women wear bikini in the beach. Nowadays rash guards are popular among young women here, and some men are lamenting it, as they no longer see beauties in bikini. My daughter also wears them.

Yep that is Point Dume it the background. The water temperature is pretty cold here since the current runs from Alaska down to here. Even in the summer you see the surfers wearing body suits because of the temperatures. I really like Zuma which is only about a half hour from my house.

Hey Girls!
I just found this thread tonight after taking some pics this evening at a secluded beach south of Myrtle Beach. I've enjoyed everyone's posted pics and all the talk of surfing (I'm learning). Don't laugh, but these are my first posted picture(s) as I just joined tonight. I wore my rash guard thinking that I was going to get in the water, but it was too dark. Wish me luck tomorrow!

I guess I just retain my tan from the summer longer than most. I still have some tan lines from laying out last summer.

I'm going to make my first appointment with a Endocrinologist this week! Herbs have helped me a lot but it not easy to judge where I'm at. Ill have to do the blood tests after I meet with the Endocrinologist!
I have been out in the sun twice to tan! Hopefully Wednesday I'll get another chance to lay out and enjoy the sun again!
I'm full time dressing. I think the hardest part was the purse! I'm much better about carrying it where ever I go!

My first day out in public without hiding in some way. Went really well and no one seemed to notice anything out of the ordinary.

I once lost my bottom piece on a diving board once! And several times my so-called "friends" have taken bottoms and tops to play "keep away".

I will decrease my weight by 2 kg this week to reach my goal of 65 kg. A problem is this week is 5-consecutive holidays here (like Thanksgiving days in the US), ubiquitously surrounded by all kids of food and drink.
