Title: Jeans
Post by: Cindi Jones on August 27, 2015, 04:52:19 PM
I've always had issues with women's jeans. I don't have a proper derriere. I barely have a waistline. But I have finely found what I need!

I do wear a size 8 to 10 depending on the brand. I was shopping with a friend who purchased some nice things for me shortly before Christmas. He was a key figure in my coming to terms with myself so many years ago and we finally reconnected. But here's the point I wanted to get to. NYDJ jeans. They fit me in fabulous form. They have a 33 inch inseam and no derriere to fill out. They are made with stretchy material and some of their styles are made in the US. They are a little pricey but I don't care. When I find something that fits me well, I buy several.

I like the boot cut. It goes great with my wedges and is only a tad long with flats.  These jeans are a terrific look. Sometimes you can get them on Amazon for less than what they go for in the store or on the NYDJ website.

I've also rediscovered hip huggers. It is possible to find them once in a while. With hip huggers, you need not worry about fitting the waist. Just make sure to wear a top long enough to cover yourself.

That's my fashion advice for the day.

Size 8-10, OMG. If I were to diet to my lowest health weight I wouldn't fit into anything less that a 14 and most of the time I need a 16. I guess I have to settle for being more to love.  ;D

Health weight? What's that?

Seriously, my doctors were concerned about my weight but I lost it over two years and I have killed the diabetes dead. I exercise every day and I've maintained my weight above the normal line for a couple years now. Yeah, I never thought I'd get below a 14 either. I still need to wear a L or XL top for two reasons. ;)

For me, I am 6'2" and my weight range is 140 to 190 pounds. The gut is pretty well under control at 165 to 170 pounds but it's bones and not fat that keep me from squeezing into anything smaller. As for the top size, the two reason are insignificant. In my case it's the chest cavity and the shoulders thanks to my dads side of the family.

I have broad shoulders as well but I also have a fat head which makes them look smaller. Really.

Same here, I have an extra large brain bucket for when somebody wants to give me a ride on two wheels.
