Title: Modelling
Post by: Rachel_Christina on April 19, 2017, 11:07:48 AM
Hey all, was just wondering, who all when they wher younger thought about modelling??
I used to love the idea, I remember back when I was like 16 looking amazing in one of those of the shoulder ballroom kind of dresses, it was in a spare room in the house and I know it wasn't my mom's she would never wear anything like that.
Oh how my body used to be, so long and fine and slim.
I wish I could go back and have the courage to speak up for myself, instead or ruining myself with years of manual labour.

Anyway did anyone else really want to model clothes on the runway?

Funny, was a time when my dual dream was major league baseball pitcher and women's fashion model.  Yes at the same time.

Had close to the body for the model when I was 15; 6'1" 130 lbs..
Never had the arm for the baseball part.

I came very close to modelling yes. Last year when I lived in Winnipeg, this other trans-girl I knew did some modelling and invited me to do some photo shots. I still wish I had the courage to do so, this was a few weeks to a month afte rmy breakdown so that hindered my self-esteem and self-worth to do so. I really wish I had went ahead

Everybody get your barf bag ready, I've been thinking of doing some nude modeling for art schools. I hear it's a really good experience.

Devlyn - Nobody would barf. I did some of that back in the day both an art school and for artists like my spouse and others she knew. You forget you are naked in about 10 mins and generally so do the students. Although, i will say i was always somewhat of a naturist/nudist so that probably helped.

Thanks, Robyn! I'm partial to nudity myself. Not sure it would take me ten minutes.

I would have love to be good enough for fashion luanneph.
And Tonya those are weird dreams to be having at the same time lol
Devlyn that would scare me to do, and then there images of me :S
But it would be an experience, I do not think the artists would be judgemental.

And Mars you should have done it.
But I am really thinking about the runway.
Something about it just gets me going X3

I actually did a bunch of photoshoots and runway modeling after I transitioned. It was after I had vaginoplasty and BA so I was feeling a lot more confident with my body....probably a couple years into transition.

It was pretty fun.

I actually wanted to do that to when I was an art student on the other side of the easel.
Never had the guts to tho.

I never wanted to be a runway model, but I definitely fantasized about being in a beauty pagent.  Also, I have always been envious of female gymnasts and I wish I had been able to do cheerleading.  I was going to a local gymnastics place and using their trampoline doing backflips.  I stopped going, and probably won't return until I pass without question.  Spiro has made me much less flexible because of muscle dehydration -.-

I actually was a model as a child. I did a number of live fashion shows but of course always modeling boy's clothing.  Honestly, I hadn't thought about it really at all until I saw this thread but now I'm remembering being very jealous of the girls' outfits and wishing I could wear them instead.

I realize you're probably asking more along the lines of a super model but yes I did as a young boy dream of modeling dresses and skirts and being the pretty one on the stage.

I was gender fluid 40 years before there  was such a thing?

Do you still feel this way? Or do you lean much more female now?

We'll I always wanted to be a girl but everything else was telling me I wasn't.  I guess I was combining what I had and what I wanted in my day dreams.
If there had been the magic button I would have pushed it without hesitation.

Don't see my self as fluid now, everything that I enjoy in male mode l can and plan to keep doing in female mode.  I'll just get to wear cuter clothes.

This kind of came up with my therapist, told her if I had to be fluid I'd rather do it with a female body.

Yea I have tones of "male" things i like to do, but I would never consider myself even close to fluid. I don't think having passtimes typical of one gender or the other makes us fluid or otherwise.

A lot smaller scale but in the not too distant future I plan to be ready for some photo shoots for my own pleasure.

Plenty of professional makeover and fashion shoots available on Groupon to get that feel good factor for some hopefully pretty shots.

I do most definitely plan to learn how to professionally model and pose for photographs etc which is amazing after a lifetime of camera dodging.

Once I'm ready I'll be doing personal shoots for casual, formal, bridal, swimwear, lingerie & fantasy/cosplay.
Pretty much anything and everything really.

For yourself already being gorgeous it could be a good way to work on building a portfolio for modelling but for me it's for a wee ego boost   ;)

If it boosts your confidence,. Say do it.
It isn't really what my aim would have been.
I think there was a time maybe I could have done it.. that was too long ago

Think it will defo be a fun experience.
No desire to be a model or anything as a career but do want the ability to look and pose like a model.

I do however have big plans on dressing up for my first comic con in September.
I wanna be one of those girls being photographed all day  ;D

5 months to go.... I can do a lot in 5 months.
Xena or Wonder Woman spring to mind initially but will be giving it a lot more thought later.
