Post by: Lisbeth on May 30, 2009, 07:20:33 PM
For those who wonder what else I do with Gimp:

(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Ffarm4.static.flickr.com%2F3383%2F3580164122_948325264e.jpg%3Fv%3D0&hash=99709562a498906dea6c6dbb43e134448d1953ba) (http://www.flickr.com/photos/25367969@N02/3580164122/)

The lettering is embossed over an image of leopard fur, the lotus had a cartoon filter applied to it, and the whole has been layered over a papyrus sheet.

Thank you. The letters are the Chinese Miao Shan (http://acc6.its.brooklyn.cuny.edu/~phalsall/texts/miao-sha.html), who is an avatar of Kuan Yin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guan_Yin).
