I think it would make more sense if you said you identify as a man since transwoman were born male as well.

I've just been up to the Navan fort near Armagh, and in their 30-minute animated video of legends associated with the place since it was built by the Tuatha de Danaan in 79 BC, you get a mention....mostly to do with cattle raiding, and other such hostile and unfriendly behaviour. They apparently had to muster up their best warriors to fend your armies off !
I suppose with the loot you got wealthy enough to spend time 'expressing your female side'...

MarieTeresa next time you're on O'Connell street in Dublin call into the GPO. There you will see the statue of their hero Cuchulain dying trying to stop me. Unfortunately when I brought back the brown bull of Culley with me he killed my husband's prize one and ran away. Not a very successfull outcome. :'(
After that I decided to turn to piratery with Graine O'Malley plundering for pearls, gems, broccards, silks and other fineries that merchands were bringing back from accross the sea. :laugh:

Your detailed historical memories of the brown bull &c. leave me in no doubt that you were there, allright. I expect yourself and Grainne O'Malley made a formidable pair at the time, but I'm sure you've been on your best behaviour ever since.
In all my previous incarnations I never engaged in such exciting activity so I'm sort-of middle-of-the-road boring, really.
With my feet stuck here in oozey bog, I don't get up to the big smoke often, but when I do it's to practice galley slaving in boats between Islandbridge and Chapelizod with other like-minded geriatrics....but I never rowed one of Grainne's galleys. Honest.

I agree. I am also a male and I prefer more feminine clothing. However once the kids are older and out of the house I would like my body more feminine as well. Youngest has yet to be born so going to be quite a while. LOL

Since you know that stretch do The Trinity Rowing Club on the South Bank or the Garda One on the North side have subsidised drinks in their bars?

Garda Neptune and Commercial have all extended their premises in recent years and have bars manned by members, so I suppose they flog drink cheaper than in the pubs. I only darken their doors on a regatta day, e.g. Neptune, always the first week end in April. We row out of the U.C.D. boathouse, which is only a shed for boats, and if we ever have a jar, which is very seldom, it would be in Nancy Hands, down in Parkgate St., and you can guess what the conversation is all about...

I like Nancy Hands, they have great grub, put it can be a bit Posh sometimes, so for a quiet drink I prefer the more sedate and seluded Ryan's also on Parkgate Street or the anonimity of The Galway Hooker in Euston Station.
Anyway all that rowing seems to keep you trim and fit.

Yes, Ryans is preserved, I think, and they can't rip out the interior. It boasts two snugs at the back, where we used to drink in times of yore. I don't know whether they are still there. The Hooker in the station is a through way. The previous American Ambassador, who was a Bush appointee, Tom Foley is a rower, and he rowed with us on Saturday mornings quite frequently. One such outing, portaging the boat over the wier and rowing right out to Alexandra Basin and back left us all feeling like a hearty breakfast, so to our surprise Tom Foley came with us to the station, the little cafe near Ryans having closed. They posted FBI guys in the station concourse and out front facing the Luas. It was a bank holiday w/end and the place was heaving.
Foley said, blow this for a load a' nonesense, you're all coming up to the Park next Saturday. That was the start of a series of glorious breakfasts we had over a two year period in the Am. Embassy residence up the Park, ending with a send- off bash on 10th January last. Foley was very generous, a good oar, and extremely humorous company, to boot.
Today was totally glorious, of course, and for the second time this w/end my closest rowing buddy and I sculled singles on the Blessington Lake, yesterday to the Dam and back, this morning to the Valleymount Bridge and back. It's a privilege to get out there with all those lovely hills around you and the lake like mercury with perfect reflections everywhere....
Perhaps I'm boring you, who prefer warring and pillage and such like.
