I thought I would share what I'm studying at university this week. I'm not sure if it has been discussed on this forum before but I think it's really important when discussing gender from a scientific point of view. A great point to make for transphobic people who use the "chromosome argument." I'm talking about AIS, where women with the condition have the same chromosomes as men. Many scientists believe we are only now on the cusp of discovering what truly defines gender.

Here's a highly informative page I came across about androgen insensitivity syndrome (and how it destroys the argument that your sex depends on whether you have a Y chromosome or not).

The youtube videos are good in that you can see from them that people with these conditions really are female, despite being genetically male, to the point where you wouldn't know there's anything unusual about them without being told.
