Ok yes i remember that other person but they have been long gone after i got rid of that nasty male sex drive.. yeppers that was a true emotional rollercoaster.. yikes...

try some spiranolactone to block the T and allow yourself a clear mind for a while..

get a script for high blood pressure and feel the freedom then decide whats up or down

Hi Mandw,

I think most of us have asked ourselves that same question throughout the years. It is not an easy "thing" to deal with or accept initially.

Going out and putting "her" on hormones is maybe not the wisest choice to make. The effect of hormones are pretty much permanent. I am talking about breast growth.

Maybe you should, as Amazon has mentioned, allow yourselfsome time to sit and clear your mind first. Nothing is as devastating as doing something that you have not properly thought through, only to discover somewhere down the line that you have made a grave error just because you did not think things through properly. Keep reading through the posts, and you will find many stories about people who were unsure about their own self but decided to dive into the deep end just because they were unsure of what or who they are. Lots of posts about detransitioning here on Susans!

I always hate seeing girls going all the way with hormones, only to change their mind at some stage.

You mentioned that you don't like being a girl, so why would you want to become a girl if you do not want to be a girl???. I just can not get my head around that one. "maybe I will get used to it" is totally the wrong expectation to have.Ask yourself whether you will truly get used to it, especially considering the fact that you do NOT want to be a girl. If you do not want to be a girl, then why go out of your way to become one??

Have you considered just cross dressing? Why don't you try that for a while? You can always take the girl clothes off at the end of the evening and be a boy again.

I am not preaching to you (well, maybe I am in a way)but I hate seeing people getting hurt because of hasty decisions.

Have you considered seeing a gender therapist?

Please feel free to chat to any of us about. We always have a willing ear. We can possibly give advice, but at the end, the decision remains yours and only yours as to what you want to do.

Oh, by the way, you are not crazy!  ;)

Lotsa huggs

Maegan

OK.  Please don't take offense at this !  Just trying to understand and help out.  Are we talking true diagnosed DID ??  The "main" personality is unaware of the others so is it just friends/family that tell you this other personality is a female ?  Because in true DID; this personality could be a female.  Your mind creates each individual personality.  There could have been something that happened at some point in your life that you as a male could not handle or did not know what to do with so you created a female that could.  You really need to talk to a psychologist if you don't already.  They should be able to help you out a lot ! :)  My advice is to not do anything yourself for your secondary personality.  This secondary personality could disappear at any time.  Then you are trapped in a body that you don't want.

mandw, if I am following you, you are one personality (I'm not sure if "alter" is the correct word) within an individual who has Multiple Personality Disorder. Another personality is transgender, male to female. You "gave up" and "decided to take hormones for her," even though you do not identify as female. Is that correct?

If I do understand your situation correctly, perhaps you are working with a therapist.  Is there a way to get a message to your therapist? Maybe the hormones can be slowed down for a while, at least, so you both (you and the MTF alter) work with your therapist about this. It's important that you feel safe and stay safe while figuring this out.

I don't know a lot about multiple personality disorder, but I hope this is helpful. If for whatever reason you don't have  a therapist, or they don't know about what is going on, it's a good idea to contact one. A gender therapist, who also has experience in trauma or multiple personality disorder, would be good.
